I was a little bummed about having to spend money on renewing my hunting license this month. I got on the state website and realized I set it up to autorenew this year so it paid back in March.

    Thanks 2018 me lol

I always do the 3yr anymore. cuz they usually mess with the prices every year. So if you get the 3yr year its locked at that rate. Typically it doesnt vary much but seems like before you turn around its time to renew your hunting/fishing license...

Only 8 or 9, that's nothing. I watched a big heard of elk go over a hill toward a road on a neighbors property. Couldn't see what was happening because of the hill, but I could hear the shots. It was hard because many overlapped each other, but it was in excess of 40 shots!

Picture of my buck on trail camera 2 weeks before I shot him, don't pay attention to date and time, its wrong. Based on this picture and on the hoof, estimate him at 4 years old.

My parents ponied up and gave me mine for my 40th birthday, I was/am a happy hunter about that! ($500)

I got to looking at lifetime license a few years ago and realized since my dad was 65 after being born on a certain year he could get his lifetime license for $15, I called him and told him and he did. I think mom did too. His back is so bad now he don't even hunt, he sold his muzzle loader to a friend of mine the other day.

I have lifetime in NC and GA. Got the NC one while I was on active duty stationed there and got my GA lifetime when I retired. Great thing is if I want to go up to hunt with my NC buddies I don't have to buy a non-resident that would cost as much as my lifetime did way back when. Definitely a great investment. Just sorry I never got them for some of the other states I was stationed in when I had the chance.

I need to look into it here for sure. If a resident moves out of state it still applies?

Know how many people there were? I've heard stories of landowners getting big groups together for opening morning herd kills. Pretty sad.
