    I was just griping about how vintage Toyotas are far and few between...

    My coworker and I were heading back from dropping the company Escalade off at the dealer for some recall work and I saw this on the way back to work. It was my lunch break so I immediately hopped in my truck and drove roughly half a mile back to look at what I was 99% sure was a late seventies or early eighties Celica...

    It’s a 1981 Toyota Celica GT, with just 81K original miles! The owner is also named Charlie and asking $6K for the car; He is the second owner I believe. The car is 100% original and everything works! The A/C (still R-12!), cruise control, AM/FM stereo with cassette and equalizer, power windows, and power locks all work!

    My dad’s first brand new car was a 1983 Celica GT, which looked substantially different from this car. My dad was convinced it was a Camry until I showed him the Celica emblem on the trunk. More pictures to come once I black out the license plate!

    Is that white car a Tercel? The guy who owns the brown '81 Celica has a red Tercel like the white one you took pictures of that he might be driving to work soon, and said I could get pictures of that too.
