Entune radio issue

    My entune unit works find with Bluetooth Spotify. But I better not make a phone call because it lasts for about a minute and ends the call and freezes the radio and reboots. I have an iPhone XS Max with 200 contacts. They dealership is stating that it’s the amount of contacts you have downloaded to the head unit that is messing it up. But I’ve erased my whole unit only added 3 main numbers I call and it still doesn’t fix my issue. I don’t know what to do. They said they can’t fix my issue you either. What are my options?

    Little bit of this and a little bit of that but stock af.
    I'm Having issues with my entune constantly resetting. I'm going to take in to the dealership as well. I'm surprised they didn't have a options for you.

    Also, the update, is that something we can upload ourselves or do we have to go to the dealership to do that as well?

    I’d verify the software yourself. Just because they said they did it, doesn’t mean they actually did.

    what version of iOS are you on? Some of the 12.x versions were particularly buggy with Bluetooth connections. 13.2 is the current.

    Sometimes it is the Bluetooth itself that is a compatibility issue. I use a cheap Huawei phone, and I've noticed an issue a couple of times. It is just the overall compatibility between the countless bluetooth versions/makes and the Entune systems. Your only hope is updating the firmware and/or software, a new phone, or a new head unit if the previous two options didn't work.

    That is the Entune Premium with Navi. The OP has what Toyota calls the Base Audio. Model ID 13TBDANA-DA10.

    also the original entune software release was terrible. I’m on my 3rd software update and this one has been solid.

    I’m fairly certain they all run the same software behind the scenes though, they just have different features available

    No. There are different FW files for each of the Model IDs. You can only install the one that matches. The Download website will sort that out for you, but if you happen to have a stash of FW, you need to pick the right one. The nice part is that it will not load if it is not the right Model ID or the same or older version.

    I'm PM'ed him the latest version that I have. You and I are on the latest version for 13TDANNA-DA11 that we were squawking about back in August.

    You should also fully remove the phone from Entune, and put in in again. I had to do that twice with my iPhone8

    Sadly, the Download website doesn't show the Model IDs and the FW dump that we have doesn't give the Audio Version. LoL! It's never easy other than just test driving it.
