What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yes, I've still got them. They'd need some work done to the mounting brackets, however. I didn't finish them. Go ahead and PM me if you're interested.

Yeah, I run their sport seats, they do sit a bit higher, but at 6'3", I don't hit my head on the roof, but do have to duck down a bit more to get through the door, and I am looking out the top of the windshield. The sport seats don't have as aggressive of bolstering on the sides either.

 

Yours fold and recline right? I force people to sit back there against their will, so rear access is important to me haha

It’s OK, it’s mostly Vicente so it all works out in the end.

 

The backs fold forward, and recline. I haven't tried to load anything in the back through them, they just climb in the back door of the double cab.

 

Ah I’ve got an extended cab so that feature is imperative.

My brother in law is 6'3", probably 230 lbs and he rode in the back seat offroading with me and my wife...he basically said never again, and I don't blame him

 

I can see the necessity in that. I think folding forward, they will touch, or nearly touch the steering wheel, when the base is all the way back, so with the seat moved forward, and folded it may be plenty of room.

 

I call it garbage, cut that whole u shaped thing down or off entirely

 

I’ve slept back there before, it’s not great
