Yeah... I lost a shitload of body armor that I had to pay for (gov issue) and the moving company (low bidder .mil special) gave me $30 for it.

Ohh, they boned you. When they comped me for my stuff, I got a pretty decent amount back. Used it to upgrade my PC instead of trying to buy back DVDs and that jersey. (Part of what was stolen was PC parts, too)
We put all of our stuff in storage while we "deployed" to Europe and when we came back I was missing two boxes and the Jersey (in a shadowbox/frame).

F that. I can't believe they hire people who would steal. I even bought our packer/mover people a shitload of pizza to try to win them over.

Yeah the guy came out to assess what was lost and said he found some armor for $30 or whatever. They totally destroyed a desk and then threw it away when it arrived which they didn't comp because we didn't keep 400 pounds of splinters which the desk had become.

Yeah, that's bullshit. They acknowledged that the boxes and the jersey were missing and luckily they were labeled right on the inventory. I just had to go through and make a list of shit that I could remember was in there with estimated valuation. I probably could've high balled them a bit more but I went middle of the road on the prices of everything. I don't even remember what other shit was in the boxes besides DVDs and my old graphics card/PC peripherals but I know there was more in there.

Our next PCS move we used some place that drops off a semi trailer and you fill it yourself. When we were done filling it we locked a bulkhead in there with our lock and they stored it at some yard until we found a house. Then they moved it to our house, we unlocked it, and nothing was broken or stolen somehow...

It's like magic. I've always done partial DITY moves when I PCS so all of my valuable stuff goes in my truck with me but I didn't have a choice with that one. When I ETS'd I just got my truck and some help from a couple other buddies with trucks and we moved it all ourselves. Granted I wasn't moving a house full of stuff. When we get a house, I'll probably just get a U-Haul and do it myself, I think the military has turned me off of moving companies.

We moved apartments in August but we were staying in the same complex so we just took a weekend and made a bunch of trips back and forth. I fucking hate moving. I just want to get into a house where I'll never have to move again..

It amazes me when people sign in with a migraine but will screen and holler when they get to their room. I've had a migraine and didn't even want to speak, much less scream....stupid shits

Migraine for me = quiet time under the blankets in bed. No light, no sound, no moving.

Bullshit. When I am in true pain I scream and yell and kick the nurses then bite the ER physician.

Last time I had a migraine, I thought i was having a stroke. Vision Floaters, tingling in fingers, slurred speech and railroad spike driven behind left eye. I just wanted to curl up and die. No noise
