So the Tacoma is up for sale. Last night I purchased a 2010 4runner Trail Edition. Icon lift, new wheels/tires and sliders coming in the next few weeks. It's been fun, learned alot but the 4runner is the platform I want to be building up over the new few years. I will still be on TTORA and expedition portal.

Wow, whoever gets your truck is lucky. One of my favorite ones around. Post up some pics of the 4runner when you get the lift, tires, and wheels on.

The truck is being sold with the modifications on it minus a few odds and ends (GPS and mount, ultra gauge, other items...). I am test fitting the wheels and tires onto my truck to check the caliper clearance. I am looking at 285/70-17 tires for the 4Runner.

Oh, and let the modifications begin! (havent even had the thing for 12 hours :D)

The trail edition that I picked up was silver but if they had made one in white then I would be all over it. Basically, this is what my end result will be by the end of October. *not my truck

That 4runner will be pretty sweet, but I still prefer your truck way more.

This is what my wife said today (because we traded HER Honda Fit in for the 4runner and was planning on selling my Tacoma and we would be down to one vehicle).

"Why dont we just keep your truck and I keep the 4runner?"

I said, "Well, can I lift the 4Runner and put some wheels/tires and a pair of sliders on it?"

She said "Sure, but its my truck."

I really had nothing else to say so it looks like we may end up keeping the Tacoma but we are still undecided. Have to pass this Hawaii safety inspection first before anything else. What a pain in the ass.

Still going to build up the 4Runner and YES it will see dirt and rocks and mud. Can't let a Trail Edition 4x4 4Runner just sit on pavement. Need the sliders first before anything else.
