That ain't a 2.75" lift. I'm lifted 2.5' and sitting on 295/70/17's and have alot more room in the fenders than what your pic suggests. No rub with CMC on my setup.

What spring rate did you go with?

OK well i dunno.... I guess you can tell eibach and toytec that its not a 2.75" lift then because thats definitely what they sell it as LOL...... This is the exact kit i have put on.... Over 70 pages of good reviews on the kit.... After lift, but before tires...

    Before lift and tires...

If its not a full 2.75" i wont be mad, hell its definitely noticeably higher in person than stock, the shocks are much better than bilsteins that i have used, and i like the look with the wheels filling in the wheel wells. It rides great, except for the rubbing of course.

You rig looks great. It also appears like you cut your bumper as well where it would normally rub at. Probably what i will have to do as well. Im not sure a CMC is really needed on mine, it doesnt seem to hit anything except the bumper and the fender liner, but i want the CMC done anyway, just to be prepared if i ever do need it.

It could just be the picture angle on the original pic. The pic you just posted shows the lift better. I rubbed pretty good on the front fender liners with 275/70’s so I did the stage 1 high clearance on the bumper. The fender liner on the driver side has a couple of weird angles that seem sort of unnecessary. Tim did my CMC. How do you like the 285’s? I almost went with that size but opted for the 295’s instead.

I like em, as far as looks and everything, but really dont enjoy the rubbing. I always back into parking spots and i have been catching hell with the rubbing. I also offroad a LOT. a few times a week actually, as i live a mile and a half from pavement, Plus I have 3 offroading sandpits within 5 miles of my house... So i go several times a week... But due to the rubbing i have not yet tried them out in real offroad situations yet. I went down into some thick sand but dont want to flex them much yet, as i dont want to tear anything up or off. Soon as @Timbo's Customs has time i will make the trip and get this taken care of so i can really test them out.

This is my 3rd time using wildpeaks, i really like these tires. I only went with a SL, didnt want the added weight of an E rated 10 ply tire. No regrets there, i have went nearly 160 miles since swapping the tires and so far the decrease in MPG is negligible. I went from 18.1, to 17.8. We will see if that goes down further or not, but so far im happy. I expected around 16-16.5mpg after lift and tires really.

I put the E load Wildpeak AT3W’s on mine initially and went through 3 full sets in 7k miles because they wouldn’t balance. Went back to firestone MT2’s and I love them.

Wow, thats wild!! Yea i would've switched back too LOL. I guess i have been lucky, my last set made it about 44K miles before i traded the truck in and they still had 7-8/32nds left on em. Likely could have made it to 60K+. Never had any issues with balancing.

I will keep an eye on these. I do have the repair/replace certs from discount tire and they installed them, shouldnt have any issues if they dont wear right. I HOPE.

Thanks. :hattip: The weirdest part is I can't remember if I was wearing my seatbelt, but I never left my seat. My shoulders are a little sore from climbing out the window, but that's why getting old sucks. I guess it's like I told my cousin's BF...If you're not prepared for something like that to happen, then you have no business being out there. Getting worked up about it doesn't change anything, so I accept it gracefully as the cost of admission. Oddly, I get more spooled up over mechanical failures than body damage. :notsure:

Which is precisely why I've never been to Hard Rock. If I had a backup mode of transportation I wouldn't be too worried about banging up the Taco.

I'm old and I have CRS. Sometimes, even force of habit lets me down. That said, I didn't say I wasn't wearing the seatbelt, just that I can't remember if I was, lol.
