Is the bed light bar welded to the frame or bolted to the bed?

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!

Man what a bunch of haters around here! I agree it looks fine -- looks like it would do fairly well off road -- hope he/she uses it that way.

I mean, I am hating on it because I don't really the look of it. I see these sort of trucks every day and they are all the same to me at this point. I agree, it will probably do well on road! And I want people to customize their own truck how they want! It's just not my thing. I would adore this Gladiator with a stock or more tasteful grill and hood.

I like it , very nice build and should really make some hp with the Hellcat engine

I wouldn't doubt if Dodge comes out with a Hellcat or even a Hellephant powered engine for the Gladiator soon

Swap that wheel and tire combo with some that have a little more meat, a little less metal, and that would be a really nice rig

It does. I think the soft top versions also look poorly designed (looks like they were thrown together)

I’d love to see can options in future years. Jeep has been somewhat receptive to public feedback so I’m still hopeful. Only downside to the Gladiator from a truck perspective is their towing capacity. From what I’ve seen (could have changed since they were released) their towing capacity still sits around 3-4K lbs which kinda sucks

Right, I don't understand why the Manual Gladiator has that lower tow rating either, seems like they need to beef up whatever the weak link is.

Engineers said it was due to clutch life and that it could safely tow more than 4k. Having towed my 6k boat with it. I concur that you need to slip the clutch to get it going and in reverse. Towing alot would eat it hence why they didn’t rate it as high as the auto.

I’ve got a manual JKU and I do know that mine hates towing. If I don’t keep it in 1-4 with the RPMs above 2500 I start overheating pretty quickly.

Mine doesn’t slip much but I’m geared down to 4.88s so I’ve got a bit more low end

Youtube guy Wayalife did some trails in my area. Built gladiators on tons/40s. Trails I did in a Tacoma on 33’s for comparison. Wheelbase makes it look tough below I have a photo of my old taco and his truck. Similar breakover 40s v. 33s. But that 15” of wheelbase makes a huge difference.

I did OFR many times but the first time with the 02 I really only had sliders and skinny MTRs. Would be really tough to get a gladiator get through a most NE trails on 33s.
