This is incredible! I'm keeping my mind open about this and the Magnuson, but I like that you're using HP Tuners. I've been following them since my 99 Camaro 20 years ago. If you can get them to release a tuner separate that I can use now and then update later after supercharging then I may just be locked into the Harrop one...just an idea. :)

Probably a RK Sport Hood. Think it's one of two options they sell. Looks like the underside of the hood I have from them.

Looks like the Magnuson one has an intercooler but this one doesn't? At least not in the pics, is it going to be added in the final package?

I'm just curious, not like it pertains to me - but as a 1st gen owner our superchargers don't have intercoolers and heat soak is a big issue with them.

The Harrop does have an intercooler, it sits directly below the supercharger, which is a superior location from an airflow standpoint when compared to the Magnuson side mount. The issue is that the size of heat exchanger has more depth limitation when compared to the side mount.

I wonder if a stock hood has any clearance issues?

Ah good to know, I couldn't see it in that engine bay pic so was curious if they just hadn't added one yet or what. Definitely good thing to have, us 1st gen guys have to add methanol injection to our setups to cool the intake/temps down when it gets too hot, since no intercooler was built into the supercharger.

Not sure if this is helpful or if development has been finalized but....Please consider relocating the reservoir as it will interfere with many aux fuse/aux power trays that many of us have.

Nice! I've been hoping that HPTuners might soon support 3rd gen Tacomas. Glad to hear that they have been working on something like that. Hopefully I can keep the modification bug away, at least until my warranty has expired.

yep it does look that way. Maybe they use it to polish the inside of the belt to make it look faster, or the mechanic who did the install is "highly" qualified and had a six pack or two while getting ready for the big show. Will watch more photos and see if they fix it, or come up with a "it is normal" reply.

OP says they drove it 18 miles to the show. ??? not sure how fast or if it was a tow - both count for a go of some sort.

At the crank of course... That said there might be some developmental challenges (power neutering) that come along with the intricacies of the Tacoma 3.5L. @OVTune is far more qualified to weigh in on the "why" there is a power number disparity.
