The switch pro is pending pickup, along with the power tray it was mounted on after they told us it couldn't be installed horizontally after the fact...….

The #1 worst product was an HID kit that was useless with automatic headlights, even on a relay harness. Lessons learned.

I try to do my research before making claims but got complacent. Samsung can be a real butt head sometimes (says the guy who has had a Samsung phone for over a decade). Thanks for the fact check. I feel bad for all the developers who get shafted for issues like these.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Damn, been following this thread of litigious bitching for over 24 hours hoping to relieve someone of their pain. I was serious about buying one somebody isn’t happy with. If you want to send your pain to Jesus, as noted earlier, PM me for his shipping address.

Sad thing is, like I said in a previous posts, the app is basically abandoned. The app crashes after opening or has a hard time connecting. Basically you hope to use the app to set it up once, and anytime after it's unreliable for it to connect especially after iOS updates. Yesterday I tried to connect the phone and it couldn't connect. It is what it is and I dont expect the company to give a crap. Just from my first interaction with the company when it was first having issues, I dont expect any help from them. If we want to compare companies for products that cost roughly the same, we could compare Blackvue to Switchpros. When the dashcams weren't connecting due to the new iOS update, they updated it a week later and fixed the issue, they also keep the firmware updated for the camera itself to keep it viable overtime. Switchpros just tells you to get a different phone (If you have android, they'll tell you to get Apple. If you have apple they tell you to get android. If you have both they'll probably tell you to get an older phone to have it dedicated just as a remote for your truck.)

That right there smells a lot like ignorance. Probably because they don't develop the app in-house and liaise between customers and the developer?

From what it sounds you're right. They told the OP that he should use an iPhone, and they told me to use an android phone.

Man that's some BS. That just means they/their developer isn't doing usability tests, either out of ignorance, apathy, or idiocy. Unethical in my opinion regardless of the reason, and not just from a "I'm a consumer and you aren't doing something to make a good product for me". More from a standpoint of a developer who cares a lot about how people interact with his products and has a modicum of professionalism.

Sounds like they are using a crap dev, lots of them out there, and pushing it off on the customer. That's no good.

Their customer service for a recurring issue I have had is top notch, but I def haven't brought up the BT thing. I have the same issue on my older 8100 model. I'm willing to bet the root cause if the dev.

So I actually worked for OshKosh for a while which makes the Centurion C-RAM. It's...loud. Pretty sure a switchpro couldn't operate it though.
