I bought it in July with 61k miles from the family of a retired guy. He bought it new and didn't drive much. The last 3 years it only had 2k miles total put on it due to him being very ill before passing away this spring.

Do you want to be a little more specific?

Yea,that would help! Sorry about that. Anything that attached to the frame and needed some form of dampener or bushing? Apologize l don’t know a lot about working on vehicles

The lower control arm bushings get replaced because they replace the whole lower control arms. If your truck hasn't had the leaf spring recall, and you get new leaf springs, they come with bushings. That's the only bushings that get replaced.

You would think that if you had aftermarket protection applied with a warranty that Toyota could be a dick, and pass on the frame corrosion problem to them. I am keeping my frame stock and if there is a problem later things might go smoother.
What do they put on the roads back in eastern USA thats so bad? 5 winters here in BC and my fame looks pretty good.

Some towns here in Maine use plain rock salt, some use rock salt mixed with sand, but some larger towns/cities use calcium chloride mixed with water and sprayed from tank trucks. Like spraying severely concentrated salted water. It's a death sentence for untreated vehicles. Some of these towns have what they call "Black Tar Policy" which just means they are to try as best they can to never let any snow/ice accumulate on the roads. So they start early salting just as the snow begins to fall and don't quit until it's over. These are the towns that use cal.

As far as having a rustproofing company replacing your frame, my bet would be that no person has ever collected on that "guarentee"

Man you should see how bad it is with road salt in Ontario, Canada. It was -5 over night last night, no precipitation and they salted the sh*t out of the roads to the point it was like driving on gravel.
I got my frame replaced about a month ago. Had a few issues but got it all sorted out now. Definitely will be getting an anti-rust treatment.

Anyone else in CA get their notice in the mail? Got mine yesterday. I thought they only sent it to trucks that were sold in cold winter climate/salt on the road states, but I guess it's not based on where the vehicle was sold but where it is currently. Interesting. Luckily doesn't affect me.
