Yup, last weekend I marathoned it for a few days.

 

When I was playing MMO's I would go for days on end with little to no sleep. So they can't blame the games. Something else was going on.

I think my light level is somewhere north of 915. Haven't finished forsaken...I keep getting distracted with side shit that doesn't make sense

 

Leave Forsaken behind. It will do you no good and no power drops will come from there. After you finish everything the new expansion has to offer you can go back and mess around there but it will do nothing for you right now. Concentrate on everything that has to do with Shadowkeep. Anything that isn't Shadowkeep should be avoided until you have finished it. Then you can go back and mess around.

 

Try to get all the drops that will get you to 950. And I mean the "real" 950. Not the extra that the artifact gives you. I'm sitting at 966 but that translates to an actual power score of 951 just because of my equipment.

 

Notice where it says 951 (in white)? That is my "true" gear score. The +15 comes from the Artifact and is not my "true" score.

Yeah... you aren't close. All my equipment is 951-952 base. Then... add + 15 bonus for the Artifact. So unless you have any 951 base pieces of equipment you won't catch me on base level until you start getting pinnacle weapons / armor

I still think you confuse your yellow power level as being your actual power level but it's not. The Artifact is the only thing that makes it look like it's higher than it actually is. Your actual base power level is 950

 

I think you keep forgetting that your base level is 950 at best. Unless you have the Pinnacle weapons / Armor that can raise you above 950 your base level will always remain at 950. The Artifact makes no difference in your base power level.

So now your goal is to get pinnacle weapons / armor. You will never get above 950 base unless you have a full set of 951-952 pinnacle weapons / armor. Otherwise you will be stuck at 950. The Artifact doesn't make any difference other than it allows you to mod certain mods into your armor. That's it. So you will be stuck at 950 until you start doing pinnacle activities. IB is running right now and it gives you pinnacle bounties. But since you haven't done IB you will have a quest you have to complete with different weapon types before you can even turn in your weapons. So you will be stuck at 950 unless you decide that you want to venture into the hard shit otherwise you will be stuck at 961 with the Artifact unless you level up the Artifact which is a grind in itself that doesn't really do anything for you.

 

And take off the RL if you decide to go into crucible. You "might" get lucky and get a kill but it only gives you one rocket and since that RL doesn't have tracking the odds of that happening are slim to none. The Suros isn't much better in IB. It's not bad but you are playing against the meta.

 

And 961 and 966 is a VERY long distance apart.

 

One piece of armor is keeping me from 968. Everything is 952 with the exception of the arms



@Pchop & @TenBeers tried to go for the Thorn last night. They went to bed but I was determined to get it so I ended up staying up an soloing the final fight. Those fucking Thrall are relentless. But I got it done after about an hour of trying. Finally figured out if you stand on top of the hill on the left where the Ogres spawn you can kill the Knights and the Thrall running up the hill at you. Pick up the orb, drop it, kill the Wizards that spawn, wait for the orb to spawn again, slam the orb and burn the shrieker down. Wasn't too hard after some trial and error.

 

I'm also getting up there fast with iron bannana on, got all the bounties done on all 3 characters then waited till after Thursday to turn them in. Also ran the new dungeon on warlock and titan last week and just titan so far this week. The pit is pretty fun actually. Really like the mechanics and easier then shattered thrown was.

 

Picked this up last run of the pit as well! It's not great for dps but pretty fun to play with.

I really like the new dungeon. It's a lot of fun. I'm in the process of soloing the entire dungeon now. It is so much easier to do on the PC than it is on console but I've made it past the second encounter so far. IB is great for getting your power level up. I'm sitting at 967 with all the drops I got from IB and the Pit.

I hope they fix this because it is a fun gun to use. But I can find no real purpose for it other than having it as a trophy right now.
