If I may, When I priced the one I was interested in I contacted 5 or 6 dealers and each one gave me a different price. Some started low and the options were higher. Some offer coupons for certain options. Some were as much as $400 more. Even the one I had purchased from previously (and reminded them) quoted higher.

The best price I got for a MX in Inferno, Long Bed, Headliner, Sliding Drop Down Front Window, Side Windoors w/Screens, and the Roof Rails installed (no rack), was $2,400 out the door.

Do yourself a favor, shop around and don't limit yourself to the closest dealer near you.

I'd have to check. I got the windoors, removable cab facing window, carpeted roof, thule tracks with thule rack and auto locking window. I had them install a front and rear dash cam system and my bed rug and it was about $2700 after tax.

I dont recall what the extras cost beyond the topper. I'll have to pull my paperwork if I can find it.

Exactly what I was talking about! That's definitely more options than I asked for and sounds worth it!!

I found the paperwork. It was 2700 before tax so little under 3k after tax. Fickle memories are lol. The thule rack was definitely over priced. I wouldnt get that option. Just get the tracks.

That didnt include the camera install or bed rug install (they did that one free)

Ahh, so you bought the cams and bedrug beforehand yourself? Yea, I figured I could find a rack to attach to the rails cheaper than they want for one. However I do not want to drill the holes and attach the rails myself and want that to be covered in the warranty. My luck it would leak and they would say tough.

I found out a year later my rails were installed backwards when I put the prinsu on lol. The thule bars didnt really need to sit perfectly flat on the rails like the prinsu does so I never notice. I had to flip them around redrill the holes because they didnt line up for some reason and silicone It. No leaking issues after.

Yeah, sorry I didnt mean to mislead. I bought the camera system and bed rug and just had them put it in. The bed rug was super easy they just offered to do it free so who was I to say no. The camera i didn't want to run all that wire.

Also, on the rail issue I contacted leer about it and they told me I needed to go back to the installer that did the work. I moved 2 hours away so I just did it myself. I'm not sure if that's the case on any potential warranty work but something to ask or think about.

It's a special model topper with the reinforced roof. I don't recall, maybe 100RCC? Otherwise nope.

Ahhhhhh. Shit. I though they reinforced them when you got the roof rack. Doesn't one of the manufacturers have a Sportsman package with a reinforced roof? I plan on having brackets made for an awning on one side and a water port on the other. I'll likely go with a flat rack that sits as close to the roof as possible. I'll only mount those when I go camping.

It's been a while since I've looked into it but I believe ARE has/had a package like that but I'm not super knowledgeable on that.

I'm not putting a tent up there so I should be ok. I want to build my own water port and plan to make the capacity as much as possible so I can use the same water for showers and anything else I need fresh water for.

Looks great. What notch are your 6112's on? Did you remove the overland leaf from the dakars?

Thanks. Fronts are on the 6/5 notches.

I used the medium dakar (6 leaf pack). I didn’t remove any leaf from this pack.

Has anyone had the Snugtop Pro-Lock Remote installed with the Pop and Lock electric tailgate lock? It seems you could easily wire them both to the factory remote. It seems you could tie them together at the rear of the truck with only one of the wire harnesses running up to the front passenger kicker. Wondering if I should tap the Pro-lock into the Pop and Lock or vice versa. Any been there/done that? TIA.

Welcome to the best damn Tacoma forum on the interwebs! :hattip:

Some, if not all 2nd gen and 3rd gen Tacoma's have a lean from the factory. Mine didn't and I didn't measure so it was more pronounced the other way after. I'm a dumb ass.

Just got a 100xr with a few bells and whistles. Love it although my topper and decked system are inducing an ever so slight bro lean.

Good question also wondering. Want the auto lock for my Rebel and a buddy gave me a cheap actuator he used to make his tail gate work off the door locks. Maybe if you got the pro lock installed you could just splice into that wiring for the tail gate actuator.
