    BD squadron SAE are the lamps- made specific to be legal
    Wide Cornering are the lenses (all four diffused) vs Combo (bottom two diffused top two clear) vs Spot (all four clear);

    Baja's Squadron Sports are not supposed to be street legal. Baja's Squadron SAE were claimed to be street legal but are not. The failed compliance badly, which is why they are not selling them now as they fix the design. You can see the info in the SAE thread here.

    Interesting, thanks for that, I hadn't heard of the BD SAE problems..
    Not likely to buy a set myself- all my Squadrons are tied into highbeams and run combo/spot lenses off road.

    So are G4's the only option for street legal fog upgrades, and do you have an opinion of clear vs. amber vs. clear with an amber sticker/cover? Right now my plan is amber G4's with the main concern being driving during snow fall. Thanks!

    Using multiple stacked strips of emitters on a single drop in LED causes none of the emitters to be in the correct location, which causes significant glare. You can see a review of such a product in the halogen projectors here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/kickstarter-thoughts.579853/page-2#post-19372742

    No, there are lots of options! Most all are covered in this thread here, note all the updated links at the top of the thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/

    White LED light isn't ideal in poor weather conditions IMO. Selective yellow is higher output than amber, giving better visibility while also performing well in poor weather. Achieving selective yellow by using an amber lens to filter a white LED light source causes the lens to get hot, which will offer much improved icing resistance for an LED fog. The G4s will not clear snow, as the reflector technology is too efficient that the lens remains cold. The amber G4s use an amber LED, so there is no filtration heat. The Rigid Selective Yellow D-series have the highest intensity output and hottest lens but are a traditional pod requiring a mounting adapter plate. The Rigid 360 Series will mount in the OEM location and put out more light with a wider spread and larger pattern area than the D-Series, but because of the increased area coverage are lower intensity than the D-series. They do get hot but the double lens design also doesn't get quiet as hot as the D-series. The OEM mounts for the 360s launch later this month.

    I have KC Hilites on my truck that I've used in a snowstorm and have been very happy with them. I’ve never had a problem with them icing up...maybe something to do with the aerodynamics of that particular location.

    One recently went out on me (not sure why) so I opened a warranty claim with KC. Within 12 hours I had a tracking number for a replacement light they sent me with the only request being that I return the broken one so they can figure out what went wrong with it. Absolutely top notch customer service! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again and to buy more expensive products from them.

    Shhh...don’t tell @Taylor@KC HiLiTES but I still owe them the broken light. I haven’t installed the new one yet but I’m getting to it.

    Looks like the Rigid 360 is the best jack of all trades for me, but I'll check out the rest of your thread thanks for the incredible work in testing and reviewing.

    Hey @Rustytaco71 it looks like you've had these over a year now. Any update on longevity, reliability, performance? I'm looking into getting some amber lights before winter and fogs seem like the most useful.

    I ran them for quite a while and was happy with them! They were a bit brighter than stock, and had that amber to them so for me amber helps with night time and snowing/fog conditions. I didn’t have any issues with the lights.

    I just did the cheap ebay housings for the yellow look, and they work great, but I am going to upgrade to brighter bulbs eventually, those look pretty good...

    You definitely want the CaliRaised tri color fogs. Extremely bright and three different options.

    A little pricier than standard bulbs but I've been running them for a few months now and WOW. Night and day difference.

    Best example I could find from my camera roll, that's them on the Amber setting with my Morimoto headlight bulbs. I did a complete LED upgrade to all of my lights.
