1999 Chevrolet S10 4 banger manual 2WD. 268k miles and counting. 11 years I’ve owned the truck with 1 single break down, the fuel pump went out. Fuel pump replaced and it’s still going strong and works it’s little ass off. I do ranch work on the side because I like horses and hard work. The S10 hauls and tows way over its limits all of the time and has for many years. Freezing cold A/C, busted windshield, worn out shocks, new tires, broken down seats, secret way to open tail gate latch etc etc. LOLOLOL I hope my new Tacoma is as tough of a truck over the years to come. I don’t think any manufacturer has anything even close to offer what we all get with our Tacos these days.

Right? I wish they would consider the Tundra for once when buying the 1/2 tons. I am interested to see how these Dodges hold up. My boss/VP just got a 2019 fully loaded Power Wagon with winch & whole nine yards. Best part, she is a early forties attractive woman and frankly a awesome manager.

It really is kinda depressing that domestic brands don't put more effort into quality and reliability. Id love to have more options to choose from. I know they have the engineering talent to make it happen, its mostly just poor leadership and wrong strategic vision IMO (short term profitability over long term customer satisfaction).

This guy really hits the nail on the head. The Ranger itself doesn’t bother me, but the pricing on it is shear insanity. It’s clear that Ford doesn’t want the Ranger to cut into their precious F-150 sales, so they priced it accordingly. If you buy it, fine, if you don’t fine. Disappointing.

I’m just waiting on that new Bronco
If I had to buy a midsize now it’d be a toss up between the Tacoma and Ranger and I’d probably opt Ranger as I am Ford biased and partly just to have something different. Although in reality I’d more likely buy a new F150 over either, the patty cake er uh I mean man in the video is right about F150 being a better value he just shouldn’t have only said vs Ranger.

I’m not sure anyone who’s looking forward to the Bronco is in the market for a pickup truck. I am not any more excited about the Bronco as I am about any SUV. Not a form-factor that means anything to me.

I'll agree to disagree with that. On the Ranger note check out these currently on display at Sema. Don't expect Tacoma flag wavers on a Tacoma forum to like but it's silly to bag on this truck it's not that bad and again for the bazillionth time is a transition truck to simply put the Ranger back in the game.

There was a period after I typed I’ll agree to disagree with that. Then typed On the Ranger note. It’s self explanatory. I can’t help that we’re 15 pages deep on a Tacoma forum talking about Rangers.

The Bronco could "possibly" be a cool SUV, far more appealing than that Ranger...

A lot of guys on here tout their off roading adventures as why they even drive a Tacoma. Maybe that’s why Jeeps and 4Runners and ZR2s and whatever else come up.
