Yeah, it would have to be a quick last minute type deal. Throw your shoes on and get your ass rollin type thing. Then again, it never rains here so we might be waiting awhile.

I say we go out to Sycamore Creek. There are a lot of trails out there and tons of wide open spaces. The only problem with that trail run was the single file line of trucks. For the first half of the run before Crown King I was like the 7th truck in the line and visibility was basically 0 for a couple sections...I couldn't have imagined how bad it was at the back of the line.

Next thing we should do is a night event at Sycamore Creek. Go out there, have some fun, build a huge ass bonfire...that would be a lot of fun.

I am looking into buying one. Have my Tech and studying for my General now.

I loved this meet up and am very thankful to the guys that put it together.

-Maybe a better meeting location, this one was easy to find but crowded and hard to get out of as a group.
-With a group this large we could have broken down into groups of 8-10 and staggered our departure times. Smaller groups can do a better job of keeping an eye on the guy in front and behind them. Also, be kinder to other people on the trail.
-Callsign name badges in the window of trucks.
-Earlier meet up time (This would suck for the guys traveling from Tucson and other areas, but would allow for an earlier finish or maybe a post trail picnic).
-Already said, but having the vehicles with CBs spread out through out the group. (I should have one before the next trail run).

That said, I know I couldn't have done a better job than you guys, thank you again. The more often we do this the better at it we will get. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help put the next one together.

I hope all these fucking people who are being critical understand how incredibly difficult it is to plan a big eveny like this. I especially love the unnamed user mentioning 5 "coulda done this better". Hey buddy, how about you help to fucking organize the event then!?

No, I am not in a bad mood... I am just irritated to death when others don't take iniative to help.

Here comes the negative rep! Yay

Hey now man, the point of the thread was just to try and provide hopefully some good incite on things that went well and things that didn't, so future meets can be even smoother and even more epic than this one was. Overall I think most people agree it went extremely well, but no matter how great something goes there is always room for improvement next time around. It's a positive thing man, positive thing :D

Andy, they are responding to my questions. This has nothing to do with your skills as an event planner. I'm thankful you stepped up to the plate and did this, but we all know there is room for improvement in anything we do. I wanted people to have an outlet so that they feel they can have a say in their next meet. You did an awesome job as is evident by the number of people that showed up. I know I can speak for everyone that went when I say thank-you and we hope you will be willing to do it again.

WTH why are people not even from AZ voting?
    AlaskaTacoma, jlvhrse

If you're not in AZ then I really don't want your feedback, it's irrelevant to this topic.

Just a bunch of old crap
Doing a semi-annual trip would work great out here in AZ. One in the springtime (nice weather, probably some mud to be found from the rains), and one in the fall when it starts cooling down again. The summers out here get a little dangerous in the heat unless we do one up north. Maybe along Rim Rd. north of Payson? Pretty easy run for the open diff guys but also lots of great camping.
