Sat in an hour worth of city traffic to grab them, last thing I want to do is work on the truck right now. This whole getting pitch dark at 530pm now isn't helping my motivation

Curious if those are actually needed. Was pretty sure our LCAs were already pretty damn stout

Hard abuse usually leads to cracking around the rivets and shock mount. Limit straps should hopefully prevent the shock mount cracks though. I’m trying to get ahead of it all.

Plus a flatter sliding surface on the lca ftw.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    BTW...

@Blackdawg good call on the pre-load on my coilovers. You said 7 or 8 threads driver 5 or 6 threads passenger. That's where I set them. I wanted to lift about .5 inch from where I was at (with the Bilstiens), because I had lost about that much adding bumper, winch, skids etc.

8 threads nailed it perfectly on driver. I ended up cranking the passenger to 8 threads too because 6 threads dropped me about .5 inch.

My truck has always been weird where it doesn't "Taco lean" so I ended up having to set both sides equal.

Seems like it makes it hang lower to me inducing more dragging.

    well...you say that...

until your LBJs won't tighten down in them...and you find out 800 miles from home after wheeling on it for a full summer.

Egged out the stud hole I'm the arm? If you have a drill press I can probably get you the right tapered ream. You'd just need to clad weld it up and drill a new pilot bore.

I wouldn't even fix a bad axle bearing or seal on these axles. They're not worth the effort.
