No im saying the video you posted is just a publicity stunt. Your tacoma could pull that jet likely. But that tesla could not pull the jet if say it had no front wheel and it was a 5th wheel hitch attached to the tesla because it would be holding weight. Its not holding the plane in that video.

With that in mind, claiming to tow 300,000lbs is like LED bar manufacturing claiming 4 million lumens. Its true...but not really. Because if it could actually hold 300,000 and tow it it would ride like bricks without 100,000lbs of load haha

Does that make sense? its either a typo or just silly marketing.

 

Of course it is, but I am thinking you are taking all of this a bit too seriously. It is all about marketing at this point. No one (except you apparently ) seriously thinks a tesla truck needs to pull a 300K load or an airplane for that matter.

I've got a 3/4 inch horse stall mat cut to size in mine too. Every one always asks about it. It's extra weight for the winter too. Although on big trip a thinner mat would be better. That rubber is heavy at 3/4". Same stuff you see in weight rooms

They have 6'x4'x3/4" at tractor supply in Laurel so I'll check it. Get thinner if I can. But the stock bed liner I don't think is nice on a dog's feet.

Also does anyone want to buy a no-drill roof rack system for a 1st Gen. I have all the keys and stuff. I just don't really like roof racks.

 

Not an R Design unfortunately. I think they only did those for a few years, and later than mine.

Luckily it did come with those wheels, which I believe are R wheels. Whatever they are they I like them way more than the factory wheels for my year.

Have debated tossing a R Design wing on it too. Just because.

I think a C30 T5 R Design would be pretty sweet!

 

I don't see many T5s anymore. Always dug the 5cyls though. There's a guy in town with an Audi 2000 5cyl and it sounds amazing with its straight pipes.

Looked it up btw and the c30 never came in awd. Someone swapped the awd system from your car I think into one with relative ease though

 

Ben at AZ Tractor and Turbo can build custom turbos for retrofitting and space constraints if you just want to fit a larger snail in there.

Well damn, for some reason I always thought you could get an AWD C30. I guess I was wrong.

So I take that back. Need a V50 R Design instead.

But I want a reliable daily. My truck is broken enough.

I am totally fine with open bed around town. On the highway especially on longer trips I am not. Kennels for that.

And Devin's dog is not used to it, for $40 I don't see any harm and it'll make using it for loading furniture and various other things I do with it better as you said with the sliding around.
