I don’t care. I live in NC where off-roading is abundant, winter is tame and nothing crazy for bad rain. The BFG KM3 does perform fine in the rain here. I can get on the gas from a dead stop with these tires and not spin on wet pavement. Same for the Cooper STT Pro.

Isnt a 305 70 16 the exact same in size as a 285 75 16 except for like an inch wider?I have been planning a set of 295 70 17 mt of some sort but have an opportunity to get some km3 285 75 16 brand new on scs f5 in -25 for a steal tomorrow. The more I see these sizes on the 3rd gen I realize that tire looks much bigger than the 285 70 17 at i'm currently running.
What you think at this point?
Looks good any good side shots?
also curious i may be getting some tomorrow.

Yes! And I love them. Really a good looking and relatively quiet Mud tire. Wear really nice. I have them on our Pro as well.

I have a set of285/70/17, and they weigh 68 lbs per tire. If I go down to a 275/70/17 C load tire, they are about 10 lbs lighter per tire.

I'm mostly concerned for the wear and tear on parts & gas milage, Any thoughts?

We are talking 40 pounds here. That’s nothing that’s nothing you are going to notice.

Ok so they are on the truck and I'm overall happy and surprised at the results and road manners thus far,I'm only at 100 or so miles so I don't even have a wear pattern on them for the truck but I did want to get some opinions on what psi seems to be doing well for you guys on a 285 75 16??..I still have to go get my tpms reprogrammed which is driving my OCD up the wall but itll happen. Thanks

Have not seen these in person, but they don’t look nearly as gapped between lugs as STT Pro tires, which I like. These things look like they’d pull pavement up.

Well I finally got my dang tpms reprogrammed and back working today after a week of not functioning, that was enough to drive an OCD stricken man like me over the top.I still would really appreciate anyone giving some feedback and opinions on what is a good psi for these tires on the road and daily driving??..I'm sitting at about 34-35 all 4 corners right now but I am going to start testing different pressures real soon.I believe I'll go up to 40 psi,run it for a week and then make my way down to 30 psi and do it in a couple pound drop every week so I cam track fuel results, overall ride and steering/handling, and just see what seems to fit our needs best.I'll keep up with my findings and share them here and maybe be able to help someone else going forward as I'm asking for now myself. I will report back soon but after 1 week of driving all on road and about 500 miles on them so far I can happily say I think I made the right decision with these.I did pull down in the back yard to load some stuff up this morning and we have a good hill of a Yard to climb out of, before these were on 4 high was always engaged otherwise I spun and just tore up my yard,in all fairness I did have an At tire on but still even when they were newer with fresh deep tread 4x4 was a must to get out....not anymore lol, that baby crawled right on out of there with not the first sign of slippage or spin so I think they'll for sure be some diggers/climbers when needed!!

I run 35 PSI cold all four corners they heat up to 38-39 get pretty good mileage. I air down to 17-18 PSI off road and they go anywhere I point them.

Any idea if BFG will offer these in 305/65/17 eventually (soon-ish)?

285 75 16 is essentially the same size you are running now (285/70/17) but since the rim is smaller the tire looks bigger. If you wanted bigger 285/75/17 will give you close to a true 34" but skinnier. Seen it on a few rigs and looks great. Taller but not overly wide. I went from 285/70/17 to 315/70/17 and although supposed to be 34.4" it measure in the mid 33" range. A of that is attributed to a 9" wide wheel vs 8 or 8.5". If the F5's are the 9" vs I cant recall the offset they way be a bit shorter compared to what you have now but either way its a great tire setup.
