You get these bad boys mounted yet?

I like the idea of these. How are they doing for you? Noisy?

I just found that Kenda Klever R/T comes in a whopping 35x10.5x17!! By proportion, that’s a skinny tire.

Haven’t put too many miles on them yet as this isn’t my daily driver. But so far I love them. Maybe slightly noisier than the KO2 but quieter than Duratracs. Those are the two tires I have been using for the last 4 or 5 years. Like the Kenda better than either of those.

Good to hear. I didn’t care for my Duratracs so I sold them and put winter tires on. Now I have until spring to figure out what to do. Kendas are in the lead now that I don’t need a 3pms tire. Especially for that size and price.

I’m surprised more people don’t run a 255/75-17 as it is a True 32 and will fit stock or minimal lifts.

265/75-16 and 265/70-17 are both around 31.6 ish inches tall yet peeps call them 32s.

One benefit of skinnies maybe not often mentioned (among the dozens of others) is great ground clearance in the stock spare tire position.

I run 265/75-16 tires on my 4Runner and Pickup. But I run skinny 235/85-16 tires for my spares. Gives me about 1.2” more ground clearance and tucks the spare up into the tow hitch better so it doesn’t scrape when I drag the tail. My old spare had a lot more scars on it from just that.

P.S. Someone get all of these companies to make a 265/80-16 as an even better True 32” tall equivalent. That’d be my perfect tire size.

That tire size would be closer to a 33” tire than a 32 but would be a good fit for our Tacoma’s. They basically make that size in a 17” tire. Check out a 33x10.5x17.

33x9.5R16 C load tire is my hopes and dreams. They always seemed in high demand in a 15in rim.

I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on 255/85/16 ST Maxx but man they are spendy!!! I can’t wait for Falken and a Wildpeak AT3 in that size anymore.
    I’m running 5100s and a rear AAL for ~2.5”, I expect I’ll be ok...thoughts?

If those are OEM spec wheels you should be good to go with your lift

First tank with the new 235/85r16 KO2s was just over 18 mpg. Last tank with the 285/75r16 KO2s was mid 14s. I'm pleased.

Have you looked at the dick cepek extreme country? It's quite a bit cheaper than the MAXX in that size.

I have, but it’s a straight-up mud tire, not an AT, so concerned about road noise and tread wear.

So next question...does anyone have a 255/85/16 spare mounted under the bed? I’ve got a fifth rim for a full sized spare but mounting on a swing-out isn’t an option with a hitch bike rack (most of my trips are for biking).

Upgraded from stock 265/70/16, and lost about 3 mpg. Truck feels so much better on and off road. Rubs ever so slightly in reverse and hard lock.
