    The ensuing cleanup isn't.

    What cleanup? Never had an issue with cleanup when I did mine deep fried. Had to wait for the oil to cool down so I could drain it. About the longest part for me.

    I put a tarp under mine, so the concrete didn't soak up all the spatter, which resulted in a tarp with peanut oil all over it. And getting rid of the used oil on CL, the last time, brought this weird dude in a converted and disgusting Mercedes station wagon by the house. He sat in the street for about 10 minutes after he had picked up the booty, with his car running, undoubtedly trying to figure if he had enough oil to make it to his next location. I finally went out and told him he didn't have to go home, but he needed to take his french fry smelling :censored: down the street.

    Too funny. I did mine on a block patio in the back meant for stuff like that. Was made of dark blocks so you didn’t see splatters or dirt. Lol

    I was lucky last time I fried one. They had an oil station not far from us so I opened the spigot drained it back into the jug it came from and dropped it off. :)

    Big piece of cardboard or a couple layers on thick paper from the rolls. Put the oil back into the original container once used and cool and store in a cool dry place. Use it a few times then take it to a re-cycle center.

    I reuse my oil multiple times at the end of the year. By the time January rolls around the oil is so flavored, I can drop in an unseasoned bird and it comes out great. I do strain and filter the oil after each use and keep in the closet. I'm currently searching for a new fryer pot with drain valve. not having one is a bit of a pain.

    I used an oil-less fryer last year and it turned out awesome. Good and juicy just like it was normally fried and clean-up was so much easier.

    I sold my fryer stuff when we moved. Using it once a year, due to reasons aforementioned, didn't make sense.

    Good lord, this whole waiting for my Rec Tec 700 to get here is a PITA. You'd think that when you drop $2K on a purchase, you'd at least get an order confirmation and a shipping confirmation. Nope...

    It's here in town, at the UPS warehouse, something I only know because I've been pinging RT and UPS.

    Give me my stuff!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl:
