    Eh but it's not that big of a deal to change out and Id rather do it in my driveway than have to replace it in the snow like I did after the time I blew one up.

    Using only a hi lift to hold up your truck in the snow while changing out an axle is a bit unnerving

    @Wulf

    So, one of my co workers is back from maternity leave.

    She texted a little while ago saying I'll find a present waiting in my office for me when I get to work tomorrow.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
    This is funny.. They turned it off before it completely gave up. The Jatco transmissions used in 4th gens are virtually indestructible. They can take a lot of abuse and neglect. I've bought a couple with fluid that looked like black motor oil. Just gently spread out fluid changes over 200 miles of drain/refills and they will keep running over 400,000 miles. Usually the engine bearings start to go over the 400,000 mile mark with the transmission still going.

    The 1995's VQ30DE (3.0 litre) engine produced 190 hp (142 kW) and 205 lb⋅ft (278 N⋅m) of torque. With the manual transmission 0–60 mph took 6.6 seconds with a quarter-mile time of 15.2-seconds at 92.4-mph, making it both the quickest and fastest (142 mph top speed) Japanese sedan on the North American market at that time.[citation needed] A top-of-the-line 1994 Maxima GLE equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission turned in an 6.7 second 0-60-mph run with a 15.6-second/89.4-mph quarter-mile time.[14].

    I've had the 99 model up to 140 a few times out on the open road with the appropriated speed rated tires.

    The just don't make them like the did back in the late 1990s. This is why I like my 1999 model Tacoma.

    probably blame it on late 90s technology...

    This is the truth man, the Japanese stuff, the Honda cars, the Nissans, the Toyotas, all kicked serious ass in the 90s. It would seem 80s through 90s is where they really stood above the other manufacturers in terms of overall quality. I will live in 1990s Japanese automobiles for the rest of my life if possible. Even the 90s Lexus stuff was freaking amazing quality stuff.

    i got my Tacoma the year my sister was married. over the past two decades i believe they have went through more used Dodge and mopar related vehicles than i have fingers!
    he wrenches his own vehicles for the most part but still its a strain on their finances it seems
