1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

All during the Japanese Bubble Era of over engineering.

 

Those early Lexus cars, Toyota sacrificed nothing in getting their luxury brand to the top of the quality and reliability charts. And it paid off. Lexus(Toyota) is number 1 car maker on reliability grade for like 15+ years running or something? And my experience absolutely backs those charts up as well.
I was thiiiiiis close to buying a mid to late 90s Maxima like 10-15 years ago. A friend let me romp around in his and I was shocked at the power it had for a 'little family sedan' and was on the lookout for one for like 6 months but gave up. Found my first 100 series Cruiser instead. Once I got into 4x4s... I haven't really got anything else instead. I really like the Acura TLs. The second gen TLs are a timeless body style to me. Classic sedan/sports blend. I reeeeeaaaaallly want to get one of those.

 

Will go down as greatest time of import car history. And we got to live through it
