I deal with this at work also. For propshafts the center is drilled out about 5 in. deep. I sharpen the drills used. Every time the operator has problems they just keep changing drills saying the drills suck and I don't know what I'm doing. Since I work 2nd shift, by the time I come in 1st shift has been spreading shit about me all day. First thing I ask is, The same drill is use on other machines, how come their not having problems? And, Did anyone check the coolant, the bushings or the drive belts? No:facepalm:
Every time it's a maintenance issue.
Everyone forms their opinion before they know the facts. And thats,,, 2nd shift doesn't know what he's doing.
Nobody ever comes to me and says, we were wrong.

Mike,,Try to have a nice day.

Well, a reminder that getting old can really suck..

Brother-In-Law took my father-in-law for his VA memory care appointment yesterday.. He's only 84.. After a lengthy battery of questions, and a quick "let's go actually talk to the physiologist, he is not early onset of Dementia, it is full blown, and Stage II Alzheimer. We've seen him getting much worse the last year.. We put him in an assisted living 10 days ago.. He was OK with it the first few days but has become more combative the last few days.. Both his older sisters have been dealing with this for years.. His oldest sister called the cops several nights in a 2 week period claiming someone was having sex on the roof, and middle sister is just kind of dealing with this debilitating disease..

I'm trying to figure out a way to get my Joyce in to see a Dr. now, without getting on her shit list!! I see her issues getting worse like her Dad, flash temper, misplacing stuff, did I say flash temper!!! Kidding aside, I used to not care about being old, but the more I experience getting there the worse I worry about it.. Told Joyce, just smother me and put me in the dually and roll me off in the retention pond, I don't want to be a burden to my kids..

I told Joyce we were going to put bunk beds in Dad's room over there and we'll see who ends up living in there with him first!!

I was down half of Wednesday, felt better and went to work yesterday and was fine till about 1430 then it hit me again. Mostly head pressure, little dizzy. Stuck it out till 1600 then came home and made a small pot of vegetable soup in beef broth (then crumbled up a hamburger patty in it because, dammit, beef broth needs more beef!). Sweated it out for a while, slept in this morning. From what I hear from folks at work this stuff lingers for about 3 weeks.

    4 day weekend.

    That's rough.
