    Finally got it. Used PB Blaster and a 6 point socket and got it loose. Thanks guys!

    Another smart move on the one under the bed. Getting mine routed well without it chaffing on something took a while. That would have been a lot quicker.

    You guys have it partly correct by moving the one way breather to the end of a hose positioned above the waterline.

    The one way breather should then be swapped out for a two way breather/filter to finish the job correctly.

    The point of positioning the breather on the end of a hose above the waterline is to allow for a two way breather in a non submerged location.

    90930-03136, it's a 2 way vent. Or use a fuel filter.

    I did a huge water crossing that was deep enough to get water inside the cab after driving for hours. Checked the diff fluid and it seemed fine. My stock breather did have all kinds of rocks jammed in it though.

    Does it though? I might have got a bad part (yay Amazon) but the one I got was the part in the OP and it still sealed when I applied vac to the fitting. I ended up just getting one of the bronze style ones that's up in my taillight now and it's been great.

    Allows the hot diff to breath when submerged and not draw in water because it doesn't create a vacuum any longer.
