We just came back from mid 80 degree temps at the Florida place on the Space Coast. Today the wind chill is in the 30's here is VA. People are excited that we might get a dusting of snow next week. The only snow I want to see is on tv.

Last night... Gave the keys up to my beautiful new bride while new and my Toyota certified master mechanic Graham changed the starter in her matrix.

Graham is my master electrician Olivers twin brother. He is awesome at sniffing out problems. Blessed to have such great garage hands in my house.

Also marked off another day in wait of my slider steps from Avid.

Next week I will get a better shot after she is washed. I removed my OEM mudflaps just because everything I was reading was leaning towards them rubbing. Definitely no rubbing with this setup with a tight turn into our driveway.

It gets fun once the ice is thick enough to break out my auger and tipups!
A nice fire, some kielbasa links cooking in a kettle of soup with some Portuguese hard rolls to go with it, couple of nice cold beers and hopefully a lot of running from flag to flag! :D

they are TJM sliders, i love em and haven’t needed anything more. granted i don’t like the step look and sliders hanging out, but even from a functional level i’ve wheeled in most “hard” places a daily driven taco can go and i’ve never needed a kick out or longer sticking out sliders. i’d highly recommend these to anyone! oh and the under body protection offers more than most sliders if you look up pics and compare them

I got the wheels from BAM wholesale for $687 shipped and tires, mounting, balancing, with certs for $848. Still in the process of selling my old oem wheels. Ultraterrain were a bit pricey but they balanced well. You could probably go with Falken for a less expensive option. I saw the Ultraterrain on two Tacomas and liked they way they looked. They are a little stiffer than the kevlars but I don't notice any difference in road noise at all.

Are those knobs on a non JBL head unit? How does that work? Like the clean black plastic underneath the display. Did it come like that in 2017 or did you have to take the paint off? If so how did you do it without scratching it?
