Well, I see you've made it to TN @markus30

I'd offer to ride along with you around Rush Off Road, like I did a couple months back, but my rear end is in the same shape as yours. Blown ring gear, NOT from Moab :)
    FWD 4hi ftw!

Well I have the rear end apart and what a surprise that was. Hats off to ECGS. their customer service was top notch but in this case not necessary. The third member is perfectly fine. My passenger side axle shaft is sheared in half and the housing is bent. I’ll be calling Matt back at ecgs to thank him for his help and wish him a merry Christmas.
Back to business... I am in desperate need of a rear housing with shafts for this turd. Anybody around Tennessee have one laying around? TRD off road 8”

I like to find things in my truck that work well, and then break them. It’s a weird fetish.

I'll bet that SOB back in UT that did the bearing sawed half way through that axle!

Obviously joking... Hope you can get it back together. This trip has certainly been a test of a lot of things, including the bank account. Hang in there!

Anybody know if the trd off-road housing is the same as the base sr5 housing?

Yeah just looked it up. Not the same. And considering what the local salvage yard just quoted me for a complete trd off-road tear end, I’m about to just order a 9”

correct, for some reason the e-locker rears were made to be slightly smaller than the SR5 and Sport rear ends. 8" vs 8.4"

So get the rear with the e-locker. I've read that the electronics are pre-wired on non TRDOR models. Then just get the gears that fit the 8" rear.
