23" from lower eyelet to top hat is way too tall and you are most likely topping out that shock. Max we recommend is 21". Measure those threads showing, how tall is that exactly?

Do you have any additional weight up front or just want that tall of a lift?

 

yes I have light bumper with winch, skid plate, rock sliders, and I would be happy if I could get 2.5" lift, that's why I change springs to 13" to 14" but the handling is horrible

not to ask a dumb question but how are you supposed to mount the 2.0/2.5 rear reservoir mounts to the frame? It came with four screws that look like you’re supposed to drill holes into the frame but that does not sound right. There are not existing holes where it looks like a lot of you have yours positioned though. Am I missing something? Thanks for the feedback In advance

 

They are self tapping screws for the frame. Install instructions and quick photo:

Did you get an alignment after adjusting? I have the same setup and 2.5” of lift made noise and ride like shit. First, the angles of your steering components are bad over 2” and can creat some binding. You might even be getting some coil bind. I came back down to 2” and my problems went away.

 

you’re the man. I was hoping I was wrong and didn’t have to drill holes in my frame but I assume it’s not going to cause problems. Thanks for the quick response. I currently have them mounted to the shock itself and they ride way better than stock so it’s worth tRouble

 

The 2.0 remote reservoirs usually mount to the shock body, but the 2.5s need to go up on the frame. Happy to help

 

I’m about to swap the 13’ 600 springs over to 14’ 650 springs on a set of 2.5 ext. Fox said to move the collars up an inch. That said, what about to accommodate the taco lean on the driver side?

One full turn down or two?

 

Can someone educate me about the level 2 and level 3 difference?

I dont off road so is there any point in the two levels?

 

Where are you measuring on the top hat from? I've got mine installed and having a problem getting the lift height I'd like. Hoping I don't need 14" springs as I asked for them 3 different times and was told I didn't need them.

If you don’t off road there is no point to any of this. Just get a spacer and block lift for $80 and call it a day.

Hi, we are measuring from the top of the top hat (where it meets the chassis) down to the center of the lower bolt.

 

So a little guesstimation then beings though the top hat sits up into the chassis a bit

 

I have a noob question.

I’m looking to get a Fox 2.0 Performance setup. Can I adjust the 2.0 coilover to get 3 inches of lift? Everywhere lists it of have 0”-2” of lift.

 

man they are not kidding about the estimated 50k rebuild time. i'm at 57k now and the shocks are noticeably worse every couple days or so. they still work with large movement ok but they are not at all controlling the tires on tarmac anymore. new shocks on the way then i'll get the Foxes rebuilt for next go round. kinda surprised how quickly these went downhill after ~50k.

 

I'm debating going with a new set as well vs rebuilding.
What did you go with?
I'd really like full all out Fox with resi and adjusters but prefer the 14" coil.
To upgrade to 14" on top of the initial cost brings out the cheapo in me.
ADS is looking like a good choice but I really enjoyed the Fox setup.

 

Some retailers will swap springs out for no charge. Just have to ask.

Or look into the used market where you may find something that has the springs already installed.

 

i have really enjoyed the Fox setup also, it's been great, but not as strong as i need. i thought of rebuilding and getting a revalve done, but Accutune has suggested that revalving those 2.5's typically leads to a harsh ride. he told me those are not as robust as they need to be design-wise to accommodate a full revalve. so i decided to keep the Foxes and get them rebuilt for the next time my new shocks need a rebuild or a tune, then i'll have the Foxes ready to hold me over while the new ones are at the shop.

i just decided to go to town with the new stuff: King 3.0 IBP ext res stage 3 w/ adjusters. and a new home mortgage to go with them. i just ordered them in the King & ADS group buy, probably 4-6 weeks out.

i was looking at the ADS stuff and i was interested, but decided to go with 3.0's for this as a main move, and there wasn't anything available from ADS with the config i wanted (3.0 bypass shocks on 600lb coils with adjusters).
