Can you post a picture of the wires for the connectors?

It’s not that- they made a part specifically to pass 2 harnesses through so no modifications necessary

It’s shouldn’t matter if the color changed so long as it’s the correct wire for the function correct? Do you have one of those connector diagrams for the 2020 to compare?

You are correct, it shouldn't matter.

I agree different colors shouldn't be a deal breaker but comparing the current wire diagram mentioned along with a '19+ to ensure they are in fact for the same unlock function would be ideal :)

Something caught my eye; wire 3 is green and wire 4 (from the diagram appears light green)...maybe the wire change was just for practical purposes (why have two wires next to each other so close in color!)

I'm thinking fuses are to "blow" if rear collision occurs...

If @BadFlounder would open the fuse holder and remove the fuses, then check continuity from fuse pins to connectors.

For those without this harness but are contemplating the other choices, you can do this:
    upload_2019-11-9_14-3-35.jpg
Acquire these connectors (x2 pairs), they are on the Tundra and the 2nd Gen Tacoma tail lamps(and other vehicles) and remove the pins from BN1 to the new 6 slot connector, hide the wires in same loom. One exit, removable tailgate...

The purpose of that would be to? Prevent a short in the passenger door lock/unlock cycle or

That's my thought, in case of rear end collision or similar, the fuse would perform if wires are grounded and you could still unlock the doors via door switch or FOB. (Especially the rear passenger doors)

That makes sense I suppose. so a fuse for each wire is why it would have 2 fuses then

Don't know for sure, I don't have the harness to verify or any other info. Waiting on BadFlounder...
