Ok....I have a question for you medical people.....


If you had a patient who had an officer that had to sit on them 24/7 and that officer asked what was going on with your patient because they were sitting on that individual less than 24 hours before, sitting in the room with them the whole night and now all of a sudden, less than 24 hours later, they are now sitting right outside the room because in order to go into the room you have to wear a gown and gloves at all times when you didn't last night.

Would you tell them at least an over view (not telling exactly what is going on) so the officer knew for their own health reasons and could go get checked if need be?

OR

would you tell the officer, "I don't have to tell you anything." And walk away?

Uhhhhh I would describe risk to the officer, but legally cannot discuss condition. I wouldn’t be a bitch like that, though.

Unofficially I would mention the suspected diagnosis TB/C.diff/flu/etc.

If they are shitting that much they are probably on modified contact precautions for C.diff. Are the cleaning wipes outside of the room a bleach product or something else?
