Your differential fluids last longer than 50K, engine oil is 14-16K, 200K is a safe number for transmission. Unless you want swap fluids for no reason

I would only do engine (if you are due) and diff fluids at this mark, if you haven't done them yet.

Good luck with bumper install, post pictures after!

    Look at those TINY tires!

+1 on the change frequency, they are sealed transmissions so don't collect the contaminants that even a dipstick tube will draw in.
Even 200K is playing it safe. But will help prevent any "varnishing" or pockets of "sludge" way down the road in mileage...

Engine i do often, diff oil was changed around 35k since it was still warm out and that i wanted the metal junk out asap since now there shouldnt be a lot of flakes. Now that it's been done, i wont worry for quite some time,

changing fluids in sealed AT transmissions often enough is more harmful. Manuals are different.

I can agree with that statement based on my limited knowledge.

BUT if you start doing it early enough, and regularly..
it can be beneficial for an extended life situation....
replacing some of the low temp and anti-wear compounds...
BUT like most extended warranty situations ... the cost is generally more than the physical benefits.... The odds of you still using that transmission at 800K are pretty low...

High mileage or ones or ones where it was used in towing or other areas where it runs hot or overheats will put "varnish" like deposits all over inside the transmission.

The detergents in the new oil break that stuff up and hopefully none of it jams up any of the orifices, check valves and little hydraulic valves that all work to within a thousandths of an inch tolerances.
Before it settles in the pan.

Never let them "flush" an automatic transmission at any shop unless they drop the oilpan and rinse it out first.
Washing the new oil though the old sludge in the bottom of the pan is a recipe for disaster.
Personally I don't recommend machine flushing any auto tranny....
Unless you're trying it as a "what the hell" fix for an existing minor problem.

If the truck is at 400k and the tranny oil has never been changed... leave it alone and accept the fact it MAY not last another 400K...

Years ago a transmission mechanic at my car club also gave me this advice...

on that old transmission that is high mileage...

Drain the fluid into a clean container. Drop and clean the pan. Replace the filter and gasket. and wipe out anything you can with a lint free rag.
Add 75% of the old fluid back and top up with new fluid. After another 50-60k miles change 25% again, and every 50-60k miles.

    That seemed like good advice....

Thanks @Norilsk and @tacoma16 for the reminder to do this

    Radiator bushing upgrade complete.

As instructed by the other threads, I put the large part to the top. Went from 17mm gap on each side of the ARB bumper and fender, to 25mm gap. :bananadance:

I didnt need the TuRD gen upgrade wood tool apparatus. I had a jack that did what I needed. :cookiemonster:
