As @geekhouse23 picture shows actually the rubbings in-between the spring eyes and the leaf spring mount. I use to spray white lithium grease in between which would help but got really messy and drys creamy color. I use an all purpose grease and honestly I haven't greased in the last 20k miles and no squeaking.

After looking at these isolators closer. I didn't realizer the slots. You don't need to spray the entire leaf spring. Just clean and grease in these slots of the isolators. I did use the needle adapter on the grease gun where I couldn't get the isolator out easily. Wish these leafs came with a maintenance guide. Stopped all my squeaks. And you are correct, if these slots disappear, they need replacing as the slot is what keeps the grease active.

Greasing isn't the answer! At least not long term. I have been fighting this same problem. If you remove the interleaf liners and put a slight bevel on them, the noise is gone. I used a scotch brite pad on a small die grinder to do this. Mine has been quiet for 8+ months. I believe the Interleaf Liners are self lubricating. I saw Oldman Emu's TSB (TSB001 Leaf Spring Maintenance) talk about trying to cover your butt. If you look at all leaf spring inserts they are like flattened button heads, not squared off like Dakar Leafs are. Guys give it a go, plus its a free fix!

Looking for the OME regreasable interleaf liners as mine are worn out. I can't seem to find them anywhere to purchase online.

    Part #s SLO0530413 or ELSK02 for a pack of 10.

I use the front eye and the lower rear eye. The top bolt rubbed so had to do stock.

My dakars started squeaking after 3 months. I used silicone spray and it worked like a charm. Will see how often it will last before it starts squeaking again.

Where all did you spray? Mine has to be in the running for the loudest creak ever. A gnat fart at 50 paces makes mine moan like a cougar at a viagara convention.

My OEM has been squeaking terribly. I’ll need to use some of the suggestions here.

When it rains my annoying squeak goes away for 2-3 weeks. I'm just gonna hose the leaf springs down when she squeaks. I have no lube, so this is like me spitting on it and keeping it pushin'.

I used the little straw that comes with the can and sprayed between every leaf, the pads, and the retaining clips. Then i jumped up and down on the rear bumper to work it in. It’s been a week since i did it and still no squeaks. Hope this works for you

Glad i stumbled onto this thread prior to installing my Dakar's. I installed the Dorman anti squeak pads suggested earlier in this thread as well as performed the fix suggested cutting some of the 2nd leaf to save my shackles. Touched up some spots with some rattle can to prevent rust and will install in a few days.

I've had Dakars for a few months now. I'm getting sort of a creaking noise coming from the rear springs. I eliminated the noise for about a week by prying apart the leafs and coating them with silicon spray. However, the noise is back since my last off roading trip. I tried coating the springs with silicon, replacing most of the yellow pads with dorman pads, and doing the zip tie trick, but I still get the creaking noise when accelerating from a stop.

I guess I will try fluid film next, since I don't have a grease gun.

I have a tub of Bel-Ray waterproof grease that I apply with a putty knife on each pad after spreading the leafs apart. That gets me ~6 months. WD40 with Lithium was almost as good and I still spray that on the pivots.

No more creaking noise after fluid film. Stuff looks and smells disgusting. But it's working so far. We will see how well it holds up.

    Lift, tires, stuff
On January 12, I lifted my truck with my hi-lift until the tires were almost off the garage floor. Then I sprayed this stuff all over the springs, hangers, etc. I bought it at my local ACE hardware.

    Screenshot_20200120-193949.jpg

Anywhere the straw would reach, I sprayed until it flowed out. It's pretty thick, almost like spray foam insulation when it first comes out. Or maybe like silly string right as it comes out. It's thick and sticks well. I didn't spray the springs off or anything, and frequently drive on dirt and mud.

I drove it right after and it still squeaked. I drove it the next day and I think it was better. I didn't drive it again until today and the springs are completely silent. I'm writing this post for two reasons - to share the result, and document the start so I can track how long it lasts.

I'll try to remember to post when the effect wears off. Feel free to quote this or PM to ask for a current update if you're reading this... in the future...
