0C549A47-C1CB-4972-B47C-AECF28F81230.jpg Had a pretty good hunt tonight. Seen 6 does, 2 spikes,1 forky, 1 small 8 and this nice 8 pnt which I have passed 3 times now. I’ve decided that he’s only 3.5 so he gets a pass this year. I have 3 other bigger bucks that I’m focusing on. For the record, I have all my cameras on video and there is a whole lot of chasing going on.

Had a crappy morning but this afternoon was alright. 2 small bucks came out of a thicket and started making scrapes. Then 2 does showed up with a nice looking 2yo 7pt. They all got to chasing around, then heard a grunt off in the distance and saw a bigger buck cut into the thicket. He was pretty far away and I only saw him for a second, but he looked pretty good. (This was a different spot than yesterday).
Gonna be 63 and windy tomorrow. Plan on sleeping in (I'm worn out) and going in the afternoon. Rain all day Monday.:annoyed:

It’s not uncommon for bucks to field dress 225-260 here. My heaviest deer weighed 251.

Nice. My grandparents used to live in Cottonwood. I grew up in Heber Overgaard. I miss living up in the mountains.

3ECF299E-9455-4B66-B0F3-27595819CFAB.jpg Have hunted every morning and evening for 14 days and not overly impressed with what I’ve seen. I decided not to hunt this afternoon after only seeing 2 does this morning. I got tired of looking at all the leaves in my yard so I bagged them up and mowed the yard. 7 days of vacation left so back in the tree stand tomorrow morning. The yard looks pretty good for Nov 10th.

I had off work last week and got my buck on Monday. Temps dropped the next day. We had a weekend warm up. Neighbor texted me saying he saw a lot of deer yesterday. Lots of fresh tracks in the yard yesterday. If thing go the same as after our last 3 snow falls the deer should be moving later today. Neighbor has off work this week, it's going to be some cold hunts for him.

We’re seeing a lot of deer and decent rut activity however we’re also hunting for bucks that are a minimum 4 years old, preferably 5 or older.
