I've ran Ceramic Pro on 3 trucks now, especially since yours is black I wouldn't even second guess doing it.

The best thing you can do to any vehicle to protect the paint is get a ceramic coating . They have multiple applications from a 2 yr application , 5 year application and lifetime application . This coating works it's best if you have paint correction (cut and polish) done prior to the ceramic coating

Once your ceramic coating is applied and cured (dried) your paint becomes hydrophobic (water repellant) . You don't need to wash it as much as before as it also repels dust build up

I've got the 5 year application on my Tacoma and into my 2nd year and it still looks awesome . The only maintenance needed is a yearly application of a ceramic coating booster an that take maybe a couple hours to apply

They also have ceramic coating for your wheels and glass which I have on my truck . The coating on the wheels repels dust

This is my 17 year old OEM paint with a very deep glossy shine !!!!

I will say you should be apprehensive of the dealer's product though. Ceramic coats are only as good as the person that is doing the paint prep and install as well as the product. I wouldn't have the dealer do it unless you know they source it out and know that person or company. With ceramic coatings they'll prep the paint first prior to locking it in with the ceramic coat, if its a shit*y prep job you'll be stuck with whatever swirl, etc. locked in there under your new coat. I would also question the product the dealer is selling too as its probably not a quality coating as they are looking for the best bang for their buck. I know GTechniq has some great coatings and CQuartz as an off the shelf coating. I choose Ceramic Pro because a) the warranty (yes you need a yearly maintainence but the coating is warrantied) b) they actually require a certification process for their installers.
