Was not easy to find MT in this color and with the options I wanted. There were only 2 trucks like this that I know of in dealer inventory within a couple hundred miles. Mine is one of those.

F150...that's a long conversation. It was a very nice truck with lots of luxury in Lariat trim with 502a equipment and 3.5 EcoBoost. There were some things I wasn't happy with on an almost daily basis because of my personal preferences and my probably very high expectations. If you want to know more it'd be better to message me.

I'd give up my push start for a manual key and remote starter.

The AT requires the truck to shut off before unlocking the doors. No thanks.

The OR trim in an AT comes standard with PTS, so no way around it. I do enjoy the keyless entry a ton more than I thought I would, but remote start is awesome.

How did you get your rear bumper matched? Or else you mod/painted after purchase?

What? With AT you can't exit the truck and leave it running?

The keyless entry models - you can't remote start the vehicle unless it is locked.

When you go to unlock the vehicle after remote starting, it shuts off the ignition. It's a some safety feature BS that Toyota put in to keep vehicles from being stolen (or something like that). So you remote start, unlock the truck, ignition automatically shuts off, then you start the truck again.

The manual transmissions don't have push to start, and they don't require the ignition to shut off when you unlock the truck.

I wish there was a way to bypass it but no one has figured out a way, yet. And if they haven't by now, I don't think they will.

Great question. Toyota puts the color matched rear bumper on the Tacomas with the Technology package (rear parking sonar, blind spot monitors, and rear cross traffic alert). The trucks with this option all get the color matched rear bumper.

FYI, Toyota does not equip the MT trucks with remote start. There is an aftermarket kit that does work and allows the truck to continue running after the door is open, yes. This kit also requires you to complete a sequence while shutting down the truck to ready it for remote start later. If you open any door after that the truck won't be in ready mode anymore. Kind of lame, but at least it's possible to get remote start on the MT in the aftermarket.

Looks nice, I'm envious of the cement color. I love my white one but the Cement has such a clean look also.
