So I have it backwards? if the offset is 30mm on the stock wheels and the offset is zero on the new Konig wheels, the wheel moved out? I thought they moved in with less offset. I was also thought the backspacing was the same on both. If the backspacing on the stock rims was 5.2" and on the new Konig rims is 4.5" then then they were pushed out 0.7"?
I read the thread about offset and backspacing already, I'll go read it again.

Less offset pushes wheel out. Less backspace also pushes wheel out. Negative offset wheels have more poke than zero or positive offset. You can’t just compare backspace alone either, a wider rim with the same backspace will also have more poke just because of the width.

Plug your specs in here for a good idea of the differences.

Thank you very much. This was helpful in regards to my questions about spacers.

The 265/70/16 are already sticking out 1.6" over the original stock wheels. If I replace the 265/70/16 the 235/85/16 on the same Konig rims they will be poking out the same amount... now to find out if they will fit without rubbing.

Has anybody running 255/85/16's used lift blocks as apposed to an actual new shock and leaf kit for the lift. Just wondering how the ride was from this setup.

Is anybody running icon upper control arms with 255/85r16 on stock trd offroad rims? I have seen trucks who have no rubbing with total chaos ucas with these rims and tires. Are the ucas basically the same dimensions? I would just go with tc, but icons delta joint sounds better to me than a regular uniball, and i can get them for less.

Went to the local tire shop that brings in Cooper tires as regular stock, they didn't have the STT Max in stock in this profile and couldn't even entertain me about bringing them in. Always the you can't run those tires mumbo jumbo. I may just go to another shop and see what they can do for me. I am not looking to do a lift, just want a bit more clearance and a more aggressive tire profile on a stock suspension for my SR which I believe will handle these with my current profile pic and alloy wheels that are basically the stock SR wheels but same size as the OR wheels in size and offset. I am more that willing and capable to run without mud flaps or trimming them. Just frustrated and I know if I special order they may give me the shaft to bring in this size. Getting older sucks and when trying to get my truck that will be a daily driver and utilitarian vehicle some people just can't be swayed. As a side note, special order would be my only option since I am way across the pond on Guam.

Has anybody purchased these from Walmart yet? I have been price shopping around for best price and that seems to be the best price so far 244.00. I think it was 25 each tire for the balance and install with a tire warranty otherwise it was 15 for each tire balance without warranty.

Your welcome, love how those Toyo M/T look. I'm still searching to find a tire shop here that can bring in specific tires. No one believes me when I tell them the size I want and tell them I'm going to put them on my truck. They either have a liability concern or just don't think they will work.

Sounds like you’re pretty limited with your choice in Guam. I shopped several places and none of them questioned the size.

I have 285s with spidertrax spacers on a 2006 that the 16 year old will start driving and they look like balloon tires compared to these. I love the all-business look and feel of the Toyo 255s.

Just bought a set of 5 Cooper St Maxx 255/85/16s from Discount Tire with certificates for $1500 flat.

How does that compare to some of you other guys?

I think that’s unlikely. Clearance is pretty tight as is with this setup. But it would look pretty sharp. Watching for results.

With a lift, probably possible, stock height not likely

Offroading with these? I would think if you did this and stuffed it your fender panel is going to take a whallup
