FPR went out? That's a good find man, not a common guy to fail on us. So hopefully it didn't put you through the ringer too much to get to that conclusion :D

do you know if a smothering of FF fluid film will make that soften up so it will just crumble and eventually peel right off with a good hosing down
the FF directions say that it may soften rubbery undercoating and check with the manufacturer of said undercoating

Not much experience with FF on undercoat yet. I would just touch up the undercoat as quickly as possible.

    Random question.

Anyone with a Double Cab, running any type of bumper, winch, aftermarket skid combo, with 285 tires, happen to know the weight of your truck?

Trying to get some weights for leaf spring order, and I don't really want to unload my rack, boxes, tools, and everything else I carry daily.

I just need a rough guess as to what my truck weighs without all the shit in the bed lol. Then I can weigh my truck as it sits, to know the weight I carry regularly.

Why? Don't you want the weight of the truck as it most normally is so I'd just weight it full. That's where you want it to perform.

I'm wanting to give them unloaded weight, daily weight, and load out weight.

But I'm looking for unloaded weight so I can weigh my truck with all the daily shit in the bed so I can give them the weight of what I carry daily and the weight of my load out.

Basically wating to be able to have a number of... say... I carry 400 pounds of shit daily... and 600 pounds of shit when I'm loaded out.

Looking good I like the huskys. I almost ordered some husky floor mats on Amazon warehouse deals, I'm being too cheap hoping to find em cheaper but prolly won't be able to. But I'll wait and see and prolly miss out on the warehouse deal lol

    I have mods
If I ran without the wheel spacers, the tires would be fully tucked under the wheel wells like the stock wheels are. About the only thing needed is front mud flaps to stop any and all fling from the tires.

Drivers side boot ruptured. @Blackdawg was it you who was talking about a Porsche boot option?

Edit: Nevermind, I found some articles on it: Porsche 930 boots. Might as well get two since the passenger side is probably rubbing too. I really didn’t think the lift was all that high.

Yeah for sure. I'm glad you made mention of it here in forum so it shows up for searches when people run into that. Eventually somebody will need that experience you're sharing :D:cool:

This week I made myself a little spanner tool for my manual lockouts. That grease can get a little stiff in really cold weather and those tabs just don't provide much of a finger hold. I made it small so I wouldn't be tempted to force it if there was more than reasonable resistance, meaning something might be wrong.

Nothing fancy, just a piece of square tubing and and a light gauge round pipe. I've seen lockouts damaged by people trying to use channel locks to turn them when they get stiff.

Just in time. Slick roads forecast for tomorrow evening and below 20 degrees with high winds. You don't want to have to take a glove off to lock-in when it's that cold.

Have you cleaned them recently? Mine was smooth as butter when I had it. I just used whatever grease I had on hand though. Not sure what Toyota calls for.

Evening folks, what is the biggest battery size you can fit in the stock battery tray? Toyota says I need a 24F. I’ve got a 35S in right now. I believe 27F is the largest size that will fit. I opted into the Northstar group buy.

    Can anyone confirm? Will a 27F fit? I noticed the 3rd Gen T4R battery 3RZ calls for a 27F.

Yeah I’ve heard nothing but negative things about Optima. I hear the Northstar stuff is good.

I think the older ones are okay, something about the newer units.
