Exactly! Makes it look like my rear setup was designed by Harry's House of Can't Measure. I'm going with a custom width Ford 9" with a spool when the time comes.

Yep, but you have to push pretty hard. If it's not gusseted and you race or get big air often, you'll likely have issues.

you can't combine the two, one or the other. If you go long travel it will be low because you are 4wd.

You can do it but there is no way in hell its safe. A long travel kit depending on the length of the arms will give you about 4-5" of lift. Im somewhere about 4.5" in the front and I'm not sitting at full droop.

you doing 62" leafs? or just a bolt on prerunner pack? You can build hoops in the fender well but I think only a 2.0 will fit without rubbing. I know TC built a setup for the 5lugs and they did a prototype 6lug but didnt put the 6lug into production. they said the demand was not great enough.

Thats pretty cheap, I think my rear long travel cost me around 2000 bucks and it required a butt load more fabrication.

I could go for that seems like an interesting idea, keep the bed space, have a reasonable amount of travel and keep load carrying capacity.

Oh and only semi breaking the bank lol:D

it is increased in SUA terms. THe custom spring that Mike uses on his kits are a little stiffer then some other springs and help with carrying weight. The thing to remember with any SUA kit is that the u-bolts are what are actually holding the weight since the springs on no above the axle anymore. I helped install the kit on my friends truck. it is pretty simple to do an only should take a day on the weekend.

Pretty much if I'm understanding it correctly. The kit, spring perchs, lower shock mounts and hoops w/mounts. As for shocks I have no clue what length hes recommending. Most long travel rear ends most people use 16" but they go through the bed. As for his setup being a little different. Not exactly sure what length.

You should be able to stay in the wheel wells iv seen it done before. I would just recommend a cross brace between the hoops of some type to connect the 2 hoops together and add rigidity to it.

TC makes a kit to go in the wheel well for the 5 lug. I just think it needs some kind of a brace between the 2 hoops. YOU can get buy with a simple bedsaver cage. smaller the wholes in the bed the stronger the bed will stay. Dont cut your first hole like i did 32x18 for a fuel cell. Destroys all structural integraty of the bed :)
