On your recommendation op, stopped by RPM Garage to get a quote on my rear shock installation. Those guys are busy and there's probably 20+ 4x4 vehicles parked around the shop.
Steve told me he would get to me by the next day. Need to talk with the installer. 3 days later I called and left a massege but never received a call back. The next day I sent an email asking for a quote. It's been over 2 weeks and nothing.

I would be cool if he would just say, I'm not interested working on your truck.

I’m sorry to hear about that. I know they are normally swamped, I made my appointment a few weeks in advance I think mainly because it was around the holidays.

You can email Steve at steve@rpm-garage.com or try giving another call if you are still interested in getting it done there. They definitely do great work which is part of the reason why they are so swamped.

    Hey Mike,

It's Steve from RPM Garage. Sorry about the delay and please check your email inbox for the quote. We have been swamped and sometimes we can't field everything right away, we do try our best to get to everything but sometimes I admit I can forget because I work 70 hours every week and exhausted. Sure...I could of told you that we didnt want to work on your truck, but we actually do want to work your truck. We never intentionally try to blow people off, if we dont want to or cant we'll let you know on the spot.

With regards to your shock install (Archive Garage rear shock relocation) is a bit more involved so I did have to contact our fabricator to get the labor times and need to coordinate the job since the bed of the truck will be removed. It would take an entire day to get it done. So once again sorry for the problem but we're here if you'd like us work on your truck still :sorry:

great post! Really like the setup. Thinking of going with the same lift and ucas. 1. Do you think you needed the ucas? And 2) Why did you go with the 90000 struts and not the 90021? Because of the weight in front? 3) did you do a front diff drop? (Sorry for all the questions)

    @pc3coyote

Nice write up and review. Great photos.

So after a little time and settling in, how do you like the suspension? On the street? Any noise? Vibration? Binding?

    Thanks!

Sorry for the delayed response guys!

    1. Not necessary with this kit but I wanted to have the additional travel and adjustability along with doing it all at once. Also allows me to upgrade other aspects of the suspension down the road and keep the UCAs. SPC is a cheaper option and if you don't want a uniball, SPC is less maintenance
    2. Mainly weight in front but also seems that it what most people pair with the 886 coils and what was recommended. Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road told me that while most people pair the 886's with the 90000's, she does get people who still prefer the softer valving of the 90021's with the 886's. This is based off of feedback she has from customers who have made the switch from 90000 to the 90021 with the 886's.
    3. No, I didn't do the diff drop
Thanks! He's actually a red bi we're pretty sure, he really doesn't have much of the lighter coloring. He's a great dog, too smart for his own good :D

I love it! No big issues. Can be a little squeaky, mainly from the leaf pack which is a known topic. I try to keep the UCAs lubed and greased to avoid any squeaking from them. I am getting a little rubbing in the front even after the body work, I believe I just need to trim a little more of the fender liners / flares in the rear corners. I may upgrade to a deaver leaf pack now that I have a Go Fast Camper TBC. Other potential upgrades are a u-bolt flip kit, better bump stops that are more progressive, and maybe Archive hammer hangers.

Great shop, but holy shit i'd be annoyed if there was a dude taking a picture of me every 5 minutes while I was trying to work. Goes to show you how great of a shop they really are for not telling you to get the F out of the way.

I worked with them and got their approval before doing this haha if not, I'd be quite an ass. I stayed out of the way :) I also gave them the photos if they wanted to use them for anything

Not a knock on you, more of a +1 for the shop. Not too many places would entertain someone hanging around. I'm a customer of theirs as well. They do great work

It really is a huge liability having a customer on the shop floor like that.
