There's no point in trying to virtue signal after the fact. I bought the truck and don't feel the need to green wash the MPG it gets. Maybe i'm just being a fatalist, but nothing we do is truly sustainable in the long term, not even EVs. I'm here now and i'm going to live my life how I see fit, not how someone else thinks I should live it.

Gas blend doesnt matter. Its 12mpg no matter what over 75mph. Cold weather the truck feels best! Avg is about 13.5 in my setup. 0FUX

I had to Google this term because I've never heard it before. If that's what you think I'm doing you're way off base.

Wow, my post really hit a nerve with you. What is it, you always wanted a Corvette but could't afford one or your wife or girlfriend just won't let you buy one?

By the way, perhaps you should have had your mouth washed out with soap a few times growing up and maybe you would be able to write at least one sentence without foul language.

No one cares about your Corvette in a thread about mileage in the winter in Tacoma's.

    Sorry.

As far as owning one, lol. Unless it's a C2 convertible, no.

This thread has me curious about the winter months and the correlation between a colder, therefore denser, intake charge allowing for burning more fuel affecting MPG.

I have an AFR gauge in another vehicle that I don’t drive during winter much. Maybe I’ll do some experiments and try not to die doing it.

    Stock and staying that way
I drove a bunch today. The cold didn't seem to hurt fuel economy much, but the wind did. On the way there, which was nonstop, I had a tailwind. The cluster showed 27.0 MPG. I drove slower on the way there, 61-65 mph. On the way back I drove 65-75, and had a headwind. I also stopped a couple times, and you can see where the tank ended up.

    Start

    End

    How much fuel it took.

Check: 43793-43385=408 miles. 408/16.653=24.5. FWIW I used the exact same gas pump for both fillups, and let it click off. So the computer is .1 mpg optimistic. Pretty close.

Im shocked that you're shocked that people keep such close tabs on their fuel mileage.
