I’ll check back with you. That’s exactly why I got them. Should help once we figure out (hopefully) the bracket issue.

Sounds good. Give me another week or so and I’ll be installing mine.

There are crossbar options that clear tonneau covers. I'm only familiar with kbvoodoo's high rise cross bars.

I believe other folks have drilled and mounted roof rack rails directly into the diamondback cover and mounted racks that way.

Install was easy and so far I’m liking my SE a lot. Drove it in the snow and rain and it looks like everything is dry except where there are the gaps in the front of the bed- what did folks fill those in with?! Odd design for sure.

I haven't filled mine yet, but I plan on using black silicone sealant for those two gaps.

I jammed some of the leftover sticky-back weather stripping in the gaps.

What’s the consensus on installing the bulkhead kit?

Why would you not do it? It is easy and helps seal out water and dust.

In my case, it hasn’t been 50 degrees and isn’t forecast above low 30s for at least another week... I think the directions recommended 24 hrs above 50 for the adhesive.

I would keep the weather stripping inside, heat the metal with a heat gun (or hair dryer) and slap it down. I don't think it is that critical.

I did not put the bulk head stripping in. I've never had a leak up there. I did have a leak near the center panel, but that's because they installed part of the striping wrong there at the hinge... fixed that.

Biggest think would be dust coming through those vertical gaps. Black silicone caulk would be ideal.

I didn't put the weather strip on and now I can't find it. Looks like I'm taking a trip to Home Depot.

Ok well after being very patient with everything I have come to the conclusion that there isn’t enough adjustability with the DB SE and non OEM bed rails regarding my truck.

I was able to get a decent tight fit but closing the panels is nearly impossible with one person. Not only that but I had to take the striker brackets and mount them on opposite sides AND upside down just to get a decent compression on the weather stripping. This allows for easy adjustability however due to the angle of the striker bracket, the lock rod rubber is easily damaged when opened and closed.

There is no organic way for me to properly mount this cover and have full functionality while not damaging anything.

DB isn’t able to make any custom striker brackets either so I am sitting with 2 unusable DB covers until I figure something out. I’ll have to reach out to them again.
