1: Engine sounds like an old 72 chevy or flip a deck of cards, same sound.

    2: Trans. can't find a happy spot around 35mph

    3: Stock tires are cheap

4: Motor is not powerful like some mentioned (try driving Nissan Frontier 261 horsepower versus toyota's weak ass 236 Nissan is just ugly as hell.

5: Seats are bland and low to the floor

6: Disengage the 4x4 button at certain times and it feels like your breaking the transfer case.

    7: NO cargo light

8: The resin from the plastic dash always gets a film on the inside front windshield.

9: Best looking mid-size truck on the market. I'm not sure if thats going to cut the cheese very much longer.

The Tacoma's weak ass V6 still outruns the Nissan's V6 to 60. With all the issues why did you buy it?

Sounds like someone didn't test drive the frontier... lol. The VQ35 is a great engine (after the oil consumption fix), but the Frontier's tune is horrible. It might dyno more power, but it sure as hell doesn't show it.

As for the sound, it's called solid lifters people. They've been run in several engines in the past, chosen for durability, reliability, and repeatability. It's a very solid engineering call.

The 4x4 disengagement... are you sure your'e doing it right? Mine is butter.

Just a few minor features that I got used to when I had the TBSS...

    1) DRL option is hard to find in my area/region
    2) No automatic headlights
    3) Headlights/Tail lights do not come on when you unlock it. (nice for at night)
    4) Doors don't auto lock when start moving, or unlock when you put it in park
    5) No indicator when the fogs are on. LOL But you'll know cause they are bright as hell!
    6) Non lighted vanity mirrors.

But after all of that...I still like it better than the TBSS ! :D

ok i already mentioned the lack of an arm rest in my black monster. but how about the bench seat back not being able to fucking recline one iota! idk who though that shit was a good idea but christ i need to be a little off of having my upper body bent at 90 degrees to my lower body. the only other thing is the light colored fabrics they chose to use in a truck. and idk about this one but a mechanical lever is to my liking for engaging my 4x4 not a fan speed switch lol. thats it and thats all other than these things oh whoops i almost forgot no locking tail gate? once again wtf.. other than these minor things i love my new truck it is how a truck should be.

Compared to pickups in its class, its the best by far!

I can't think of one thing I don't like about it...

Well I have had the truck for only a month so, I am pretty sure something will come up over time...

Regarding #4: If you have all doors closed when you start your truck, doors will lock automatically. You don't need to unlock the doors to open. Just pull on the door lever, even when in the locked position doors will open.

I'm glad headlights don't come on auto. :)

I don't know if it is where I live, road conditions or what, but my truck EATS tires, regardless of how much you rotate.
Fog light and 4x4 switch does not illuminate
    Glove box/console doesn't lock
I know they are available now, but I wish mine had the radio switches on the steering wheel.
