It's purely a modern way of "alpha" males to posture and prove they are more "manly". Except, after work they go to Applebees for a couple Miller Lites served by Rachel. Sometimes they sit at a booth to be better situated to stare at Rachel's ass as she walks away from serving them the 3rd plate of endless appetizers.
