5100 vs 5125 (or 5100+thread spacer)

Couple questions I've been putting off asking (yes, I've used the search tool)...

I replaced my worn out leaf springs a while back with Dakars. They gave me a ton of rear lift (that I didn't expect), and I figured they'd settle as used them. They didn't, and a few months ago I realize they completely topped out my rear 5100s to the point of working the thread loose on the driver's side.
I haven't found a marketed shock extender for these, but if anyone knows the thread size, I'm sure someone makes one (Ace Hardware?). I could find this out myself, but kind of a pain the ass to buy a bunch of differently sized nuts and test them all.

Before anyone suggests it, I'd rather keep the extra leafs in since its mainly a utility truck now, and when I put 6-800lbs of concrete in it, it's nice and level.

It seems from reading forums that 5125s are softer than 5100s, but they come in multiple lengths. Is its softness (less damping?) really going to make a difference when the leafs are already so hard? I wouldn't mind a less bumpy ride anyway tbh. And then I just make sure the mounting point to the bumpstop is greater than or equal to the new shock's fully compressed length?

@treyus30 you do know there are 2 different length Bilstein 5100's for our truck right?

One is for a 0-1.5" lift and 1-3" lift (I'm just estimating the numbers).

I'd have to dig through my old posts to find the longer length shock part numbers, or you could wait until I get home tonight to post the ones I have; I've got the boxes set aside with my Fox shocks inside of them.

I've got the longer shocks to accommodate my OME Dakar's.

 

Aren't the 5125s the longer ones that people run with the taller springs? I'll have to double check
Edit: I'm mistaken. 5125 vs 5100 refers to valving as OP stated in beginning of his post

Hmmmmmm. That's annoying.
I'm like 99% sure I have the 1-1.5" ones... had no idea they came in more than one size.

Edit: I'm trying to look for the F4-BE5-D559-T0 and F4-BE5-D560-T0 but they all say they're also 1-1.5"??
