Too bad the Missus doesn't camp, but a healthy relationship often includes mates with different interests.
The Appalachian Trail would be interesting. I used to do quite a bit of hiking/climbing/mountaineering, but not so much any more.
The Pacific Crest Trail, the John Muir Trail, and the High Sierra Trail are right up the hill from me. I understand that more and more people are getting into hiking in general and thru-hiking in particular. Any more I prefer to dodge the crowds and find peace and quiet.

Nope. The former Mrs. Hobbs moved on to (I assume) greener pastures in 2010 after 17 years of marriage. Very little interest in finding another wife...

 

I actually have the whole house to myself for about three hours! My dog is laying next to me catching a football game and it is overall peaceful

Do you still keep in touch?

I kept in touch with one ex-gf for over a decade before finally fading away. I hate that it happened, but nothing to chat about since the dog we shared at the time passed.
