I’m running 255/85r16 maxxis bighorns. Mostly because they were Amazon prime eligible and already cheaper than the other brands. I know a lot of people here have sensitive ears, so the road noise would probably bother them. But I like them.

Out of the 255/85/16 choices does anyone have experience with more than one of the versions that could provide some information as to which tire had better on road manners.

While many people here seem to like running the coopers I have read numerous complaints about the tires pulling on the road. This is a trait I really would like to avoid.

Are you talking wheel spacers or lift spacers? If it's wheel spacers I would think ( correct me if I'm wrong current people) that it's a much taller tire than stock and if it is sticking out of wheelwell more, it has nowhere else to go but up into fender panel right, instead of going under it into the actual wheelwell. I'm not totally sure on this because I haven't got my tires yet( this wed hopefully installed) but if others are saying it's close I wouldn't doubt them. Now if you had a suspension lift you would have that much more clearance to use.

The people that have the Cooper's installed did you have to have the caster and camber adjusted to actually make it drivable. I am wondering because the place that I'm getting them installed at does not do alignments so I have to get that done somewhere else after they are mounted and balanced.

Awesome, when I owned a Nissan Frontier, I used Geolander AT tires til the truck failed me. (Thrown engine bearings.) I have a toss-up between the Cooper STT Maxx, the Toyo MT, and the Geolanders. I am biased since the Geolanders lasted a long time for me and were great on the coral based roads here. I know the Geolanders are a premium tire, but they are brought in by a local dealer and may be my choice when it comes time to do a tire swap. TY for the pics, truck looks awesome.

I was talking about wheel spacers. Yeah I see your point. I’d still be willing to at least try, see if it works, and if it doesn’t, see what needs to be done to make it work. I like the idea of skinnies with a wider stance.

They ride great they are surprisingly stable. Being so narrow I was expecting them to be more squirmy cornering but they’re great. Of course they’re louder than an all terrain but compared to other mud terrains they are very mild. Great traction off road; better than my swampers were. They do decent in snow and ice, however they don’t like to stop.
