Nah I had my diffs done by ECGS.

The front is in but I need to put the hubs back on and bolt up the MM and DS.

I have a diamond housing for the rear and that'll need new shock tabs and probably leaf spring perches.

thanks, its frickin cold here and don't know how to check suspension other than pushing down on my bed several times to check for bounce, which is doesn't which is good
    no heated garage :(
and since its FREE inspection, i cannot pass that up ever lol
    they do battery test
most stuff i can check already, tires and oil level, air filter
cannot check the alignment either without machine

the ball joints and other stuff up front i have no clue if they are shot yet, its probably just the massively bad pavement in my area, offroad i expect some bumps and got some this summer
never thought i would be at a point to go outside of Toyota service and keep my Toyota a Toyota

unless this place's labor rates are near same

    Ouch.

Back to the truck though, suspension components do wear out over time so you can ignore the "no time/mileage"

Suspension wears slowly over time, and as you drive your vehicle every day, its damn near impossible to tell from the changes until you replace your shocks etc.

If you've got between 50k miles or 5 years give or take, your shocks are due for replacement. Even sooner if you carry loads, or off road. Their damping isn't as effective as it used to be and until they're replaced, you won't tell the difference.

Springs can go a lot longer, but eventually they begin to give up thus causing your truck to sit lower than it used to. It's why people report that they got "a ton of lift" when replacing with after market lift prings.

After lift market springs give you "1-2 inches of height above stock" and people report back with 4-5 inches of increase without realizing how bad their tired out suspension were. Just an example of course.

On my commute this morning I was at a stoplight next to a reporter with my truck in the shot. Let’s see if I can spot my truck tonight on the news.

i was intending on putting new shocks on the back next year when i get the bed off whether they need them or not
those guys have over 130k miles on them, i probably carried heavier loads with them when it was newish

It's funny, I was expecting you (or someone) to say something like "I have over 100k miles on my shocks"....

Shocks don't need to break in order for someone to replace them.

They're a wear item, and their effectiveness to dampen gets worse as time/mileage goes on.

I'm in CA whenever you want to get rid of that truck; it could retire out here hitting all these beautiful, sunny trails we've got out here

I'll even park it at the beach and enjoy a couple of drinks while sitting on the tailgate before I decide to call it a night and sleep under the stars; she'll live a good life.

Finally finished the RTMR. Power all wired up. Replaced stock battery terminals with these milspec terminals - much easier to deal with. 80A breaker for the RTMR and a 100A breaker for the Blue Sea enclosure in the rear of the truck. Roof Rack LED Pods (2 per side including 2 in at the rack rear) wired up and installed. All that's left is to put the rack back on the truck, secure the harness and make the connections to the relays. Then wire up the ditch lights and pods on the bumper.

If that body was in nice shape, as it looks like it prolly was, and he did that to it???? Seriously should be criminal. That is one thing I would be on board for with having thought police. That way this stuff would get caught before it ever happens. And hopefully we would just be able to rehab him back into society without locking him up
