Cascade, basically central Idaho. Not too far from Oregon. It is beautiful out here! It feels a little more homey to me than Colorado.

Hey I have helped on your guys house many a time.

I do have a table saw. I will be using it some this winter to make some doors. But I am more than willing to come up and give you a hand on a long weekend.

I may take you up on that next time I head to Boise. I still haven't gotten new tires so hopefully soonish. Will it work with dado blades?

Congrats dude! House mod and more importantly GARAGE MOD is the best kinda mod you can do aside from the DD mod lol. If you want to do anything nice with the floor, do it now while it's empty. :p

Good idea but it's likely too cold to do an epoxy floor now. There are plenty of cabinets already hanging so I don't think I'll have too much stuff on the floor when it comes time. First I need to level it. The concrete has settled and cracked in a few places. I almost feel like I'm starting to work on vehicles for the first time again. Learning all the processes to repairing a home are totally different than vehicles. Fun learning though.

Truck caught fire today! Not exactly sure what happened but an absurd amount of oil was leaking out of somewhere and the stopped once things warmed up. Went through about a qt of oil in 8 miles. The skid plates and rear axle are coated. Lots of smoke out the exhaust. Pulled over to look at things shortly after starting to drive and didn't notice anything pissing oil. Wasn't too bad at this point. Continue to drive and it eventually cleared up. Pulled over to check the oil and make sure it hadn't all drained out. Popped the hood and the turbo was on fire! Fortunately I had my extinguisher easily accessible and put it out. Sat there in for a good 45 minutes trying to figure out where the oil was coming from with no luck. The exhaust had cleared up by this point and it seemingly quit leaking from wherever it was before. Decided to take my chances and drove a few more miles down the road stopped and checked and no other sign of any more oil leaking.

Not entirely sure if it's the turbo seal or a piston ring not sealing up. The truck was running pretty rough which makes me think the oil was getting into the cylinders which I suppose is possible if it was blowing past the intake seal as well. Maybe my oil return line is getting clogged with ice build up somehow? Guess I gotta pull it all apart. About 2 weeks ago when it was in the teens last, it had a missfire when I was letting it warm up before leaving for work. It quickly went away once I started driving but I'm wondering if it isn't the same issue.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

He's got some heat. I don't mind it too much if it's above freezing but when it's in the teens I'm not too motivated to touch cold metal.

It's just a propane heater. You could pick one up. They do a pretty good job.

You don’t need a heater in the garage... by the sounds of it just pull the truck in there, it seems to be warm enough under that hood:bananadead:
