Spending the next few days rebuilding and cleaning up my friends 88 B2200 F2 engine. Looks surprisingly good for a 30 year old engine.

Damn, I'll say! How many miles on it? Aside from that battery tray in need of some love it looks great! Hoses look great, I'd be shocked if that's the original fan but you never know...

Only 120k but some of the gaskets and seals have gone to hell. There’s an oil leak somewhere that’s been neglected for years that we’re trying to track, and think it may be near the oil pump seal. So far it’s been a lot of cleaning cooked on oil, and removing seized bolts. It’s amazing what you can do with a blow torch, ratchet strap, and axe. Just use your imagination.

Small but important victory in the clutter war today. Shelves now have my suspension catalog- 1 full set of coils and shocks for a Taco, 1 full set of coils and shocks for a Civic. Broke down some boxes, threw away stuff like front license plate holders, making moves to get rid of even more.
A cabinet for my chemicals (loctite, WD, Anti Seize, PTFE, etc.) is on order, if I like it I will be ordering a full workstation by the same brand & probably two more cabinets.

Thanks. I know you've done this to your truck. Do ya think I'll need to pull the bench seat out to do the back of the cab. I'm really not thrilled with the prospect of doing that with the belts and airbag sensors.

Installed Vance and Hines Short Shots. Holy fuck they are loud. I love it though, sounds exactly how a Harley should. Also bought and went to install a V&H FP3 tuner only to take it out of the package and realize my bike already had one! Cant return it since its been removed from the packaging. :facepalm:Currently for sale on craigslist. Bike is a rocket now. Also entered it into a bike show next Saturday because why not.

Is it a good or a bad day in the shop when you get to test out your quick release fire extinguisher? At leas the taco didn’t go up in flames, just some carpet padding.

    Mixed bag, I would say.

It's a bad day when you need it, it's a good day when the quick release works.

Yeah, I welded about 5sec too long and when I went to check for fire it was too high behind the dash to blow out. Lucky the extinguisher was right there, but sucked to pull the dash and clean up afterwards. Coulda been worse though as burnt carpet padding was the only casualty

I have these, and they are nice looking. Definitely cheaper now. I got them through eBay

Just a bunch of old crap
I bought and put them on last year and zero issues. Were cut right and even came with new pop-in clips to install them. I had a few missing over the years from tearing from body flex, and these have a little more room to give so I haven't popped one out yet. Worth the $$

    Workin' on it....
I've got a set of those - the coverage and protection is awesome. A couple of holes for the fasteners have started to give out so I bought some replacement rubber on Amazon and I'm going to use the old ones as templates and cut some new ones.
