you’re probably right. I just went under there to double check the tightness of the clamps and they weren’t at the suggested 30 ft lbs. Fixed that so I’m sure that affected the sound. I’ll know more after the tomorrow’s driving. Now I’m actually looking forward to going to work...on a Monday no less.

    glad to hear it.
But I think the trd exhaust is Bosla or something like that. I only know their different companies cause of another thread when I was researching Borla opinions. Or that thread was wrong.

got the same exhaust. Sounds great and can feel a bit more of a boost with the more airflow.

I made this mistake. Lots of masking tape to protect the paint from scratching. Its tight, but I managed without breaking anything.

I thought Borla made the TRD exhaust??? And therefore they sound very similar do they not?

Has anyone had any luck going to scrap-yards, lookin’ for Tacoma parts? Say like a grille they want, or replacement sensors or lights?

Ive heard them side by side and they are different for sure. Trd is a bit more subtle.

I also have the k&n typhoon intake. THAT is a game changer lol. Maybe its my "inner tuner fan boy" coming out but i love the sound. Throaty as hell at anything over 1/3 throttle and once it crosses over 3000 rpm it screams!

Most people don't like chrome these days. Shiny paint will be the next to go.
